User :   Hello I am XXXXXXXX Im 23 year old female
Doctor :   Have got R A Factor test done ?
User :   i did a few months and it was negative so was the ANA
User :   but then it all got worse
User :   it started in March when i tested positive for lymes disease and epstein barr
User :   i just had a monospot test done last week and it was positive again
Doctor :   ok, Infectious mononucleosis can be a chance here
User :   yess but ive testes positive for mono for a bout a year
Doctor :   small joint pain and the rashes are typical symptoms
User :   I was also having problems with my eyes and getting blinding headaches along with being thirsty all the time
Doctor :   most of the chronic viral illness es do present this way
User :   Ive never had a sore throat or swollen spleen or anything
Doctor :   and the vision problems you have could be caused by petichae which is the reason for the rashes
User :   Every titer done for EBV is still very high and its been a year
User :   ooooo like bleeding?
User :   i also tested positive for the antibody for betaglycoprotein

User :   and soemtimes I cannot move my hands or legs. they lock up
Doctor :   the symptoms are typical , the CRP , small joint pain , rashes , raised ESR
Doctor :   its kind of auto immune response
User :   of mono? for a year?
User :   then why arent the steroids working?
Doctor :   yes, not a disease per say , it could be called as complication
User :   hair loss?
User :   i have to wear wigs because i lost half of my hair
Doctor :   its a long term immune response to the viral proteins
User :   what about the positive lymes disease test?
Doctor :   Since how many days are you on steroids ?

User :   ive done 3 rounds ... 2 weeks at a time of prednisone starting at 25 mg

User :   tried mobic and that didn't work
User :   one of my doctors thinks that I have lupus
User :   but the muscle spasms are weird and sometimes i wake up in the middle of the night and my whole body is numb
Doctor :   How many times did you get ANA tested ?
User :   just once
Doctor :   And when was that done ?
User :   a few months ago
Doctor :   ok, here it is , i would ask you to get the ANA repeated to rule out LUPUS as one test do not confirm
User :   also this coincidentally all started happening to me when I got back from east africa
Doctor :   and Lymes also can be a possibility ,
User :   okay, and what about MS? another doctor had mentioned that to me
User :   i had the lymes in March and completed a round of doxycicline
Doctor :   does the rash have a bulls eye appearence ?
User :   no it just looks like brusies under my skin on my palms and feet
Doctor :   no , MS cannot be a chance according to me
User :   and on my back
User :   my back pain is pretty bad but a lot worse when i breathe in
Doctor :   is the pain in the joints or muscles ?
User :   both
User :   my whole body always hurts a bit but my hands are the worst and sometimes I cannot type or write and even the feeling of water on them makes them pain
User :   by back and chest is bad at the end of the day and my eyes are bad in sunlight
User :   i also have some enlarged lymphnodes
Doctor :   ok,
User :   Ive been to many doctors and they all have different opinions bases on the bloods...everyone seems to agree that it is autoimmune but nothing else and i was told it would go away in a few months and then my hair started falling out and everything got worse and now its been a year
Doctor :   according to your history , i still stick to my probable diagnosis of mono complication , yes your symptoms are very typical
Doctor :   and yes, ruling out lupus is also necessary here , and a repeat test is needed
Doctor :   Lyms may not be a much considered chance here
Doctor :   and in both the diagnosis , steroids are the main stay treatment
User :   okay mono complication just seems so vague
User :   i never even had mono
User :   just a positive test
User :   but I okay then thank you very much for your help!
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me
Doctor :   Bye for now
Doctor :   take care
