User :   I have a lot of symptoms
Doctor :   Hello.
User :   Hello. I am 28 years old, female
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Things started going wrong when I was 16
User :   Got a headache that wouldn't break - had it everyday for years. Went to every doctor got every test, even a spinal tap
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Learned to live with the head pain, started to break a bit - still have a tension headache a few times a week and a migraine the week of my period
User :   Around 20 I started getting very frequent sinus infections
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I deal with those now by using a neti pot - usually helps if i catch it early enough
User :   Had head MRI, sinus CT, Allergy tests - nothing
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Was very skinny, around 115 in high school was 125 - 135 when I graduated college
Doctor :   OK.
User :   Diagnosed 2 years ago with high blood pressure
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   was at the endocrinologist for a visit to help find a cure for severe fatigue (that started at 16 too before that I was super hyper went almost immediately to needing 16 plus hours of sleep)
User :   she found the high blood pressure

User :   Gained weight on and off over the years - up to 150, back to 135
User :   yo yo a lot
User :   Then in the last few years started with massive weight gain
User :   up to 175 in October
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   From December to March was at 206
User :   checked for thyroid
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   negative (my mom has hypo and so does my sister and maternal aunt and paternal grandfather)
User :   Checked for all the basics
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Often have aches and pains everywhere and my wrist sometimes feels as though it is shattering inside when i put weight on it
User :   Also, in 06 had a terrible bout of gastritis

User :   now lots of foods bother me, and have gastritis on and off

User :   Been seeing neurologist for migraines - after trying many many drugs, was put on cymbalta, which helped for a few years - now I have had a constant headache (not sure if sinus or migraine but my mucus is still clear) for 2 weeks
User :   I exercise every other day
User :   Hit 10,000 steps every day
User :   track calories burned with a body bugg (like on the biggest loser)
User :   Yesterday I over-ate - 3200 calories - checked on 3 scales - in one day I gained 6 pounds
User :   everyone says that is impossible
User :   but it happened.

User :   Also, my heart rate is always elevated - my dr switched me from toprol to coreg for both heart rate and high bp hoping it would help the weight
User :   been on coreg 3 months now, no help
User :   I am in constant pain, malaise, TIRED, and now FAT
User :   HELP!
Doctor :   When did you consult the endocrinologist?
User :   I have seen 3 or 4 of them
User :   Last one was about a year ago

User :   My regular doctor repeated thyroid labs about 4 months ago (negative)
User :   I also have deficiency in B12 and Vitamin D
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Took OTC supplements for a year
User :   still low
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   So she started me on the nasal spray b12 and a once a week d3
Doctor :   Did it help?
User :   I feel no different
User :   Been on both of those about 3 months
User :   and she was giving me in office shots of b12 last year which i felt no different from
User :   The only difference I see is that I had not gotten a suntan in about 10 years and I got one this summer, I am guessing from the D
User :   Also, I have never had a fever in my life
User :   Temperature usually runs around 95 or 96

User :   My eyes also tear constantly to the point where people ask me if I am crying

User :   The eye doctor said it is dry eyes and gave me preservative free drops
User :   Slight relief
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I was also checked for adrenal gland tumor (bc of the bp) and ovarian tumor (because of the weight gain)

User :   My right knee always hurts
User :   Any ideas on what is wrong with me?
Doctor :   What was the results for tests for ovarian tumors?
User :   I have been to dermatologists, endocrinologists, countless MDs, cardiologists, rheumatologists, ENT, allergist, optomoloist, and no one has ever found anything
User :   Ovarian tumor was negative
User :   I did find a cyst in my right breast
User :   And had it removed
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   It was a fat deposit
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I have an additional cyst on my left arm
User :   developed in college and was told it was nothing when xrayed
User :   md now says it is just fatty
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   any ideas?
Doctor :   Have you done any liver function test?
User :   Yes, all normal - my cardiologist ran that
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Are the hormones level normal?
User :   I once showed high cortisol
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   endocrinologist gave me a pill and it went back down
User :   she said since it went back down it was okay
User :   that was about 3 years ago
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   asked cardiologist to repeat test jan 2010
User :   he did, it was high in AM
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   normal in PM
User :   they said since it was normal in PM it was ok
User :   showed high epinephrine i think it was from the cardiologist
Doctor :   Any other abnormal findings in the lab testings?
User :   i think that is it. my white blood count is usually on the high end of normal
User :   but never abnormal
User :   doctor always says this is ok
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   i was on ortho tricyclen for years but recently was taken off of it because of the high blood pressure and the cyst
User :   been off for about three - five months
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Anybody in your family has similar complaints?
User :   my mother has dealth with a lot of strange symptoms which is usually attributed to her hypthyroid - she gets dizzy a lot (i dont have that), and also has sinus problems and fatigue
User :   my grandparents - both on both sides - had heart problems but none of them had high bp
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   on my fathers side grandfather died of a heart attack, grandmother had quadruple bypass; Mothers side grandmother got pacemaker at relatively young age, grandfather had heart attack but that did not kill him
User :   my father has chron's disease
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   my mother has a mitral valve prolapse
User :   my sister had breast cancer at age 32
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Is there anything else that i should know?
User :   My blood sugar level (that 3 month average) was checked - it all came out normal - the doctor thought i might have metabolic syndrome but i do not
User :   the weight gain is very strange - it looks as though i am pregnant - my belly is so big
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   my ears ALWAYS hurt too - not itch, hurt
User :   I think that is all
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   One more thing is I have stretch marks all over my belly
User :   ok thats really it
Doctor :   Fat deposition on the abdomen is usually due to hormone imbalance.
User :   what kind of hormone?
User :   what kind of test do i need>
User :   something the endocrinologist would not have tested for?
Doctor :   It is due to cortisol.
Doctor :   high levels of the hormone cortisol.
User :   I have been checked for that
Doctor :   I know.
Doctor :   What test did you do for cortisol?
User :   The first time with the endocrinologist I did the 24 hour urine test
User :   recently i did the blood test - one at 8am
User :   then a few weeks later one at 4pm
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   I am so tired all the time, I can barely get through work
User :   I have no social life anymore because of it
Doctor :   I can under stand your frustration.
User :   I also seem to get extremely exhausted after being out in the heat / sun - even for a short period of time
Doctor :   Try to be calm.
User :   like afterwards I need to nap immediately
Doctor :   Ok.
User :   Each doctor has a theory, then when it doesn't pan out they give up on me
User :   I am not sure where to go next
User :   or if anyone can help
Doctor :   It looks like a very rare condition.
User :   what condition?
Doctor :   It is tough to come to any diagnosis.
User :   so what do i do now
Doctor :   You have to consult an experienced endocrinologist.
User :   Are there any tests in particular I should be trying for
Doctor :   that can be said by the endocrinologist only.
Doctor :   Are you with me?
Doctor :   Can you mail all the test you have done with reports?
