Mood and behavioral disorder - Online Doctor Chats
Doctor : hi
Doctor : how can i help you?
User : hold on for a second, please
User : sorry
Doctor : Are you there?
User : Ok, I took in my friend's 16 year old son (15 at the time) last year during a rough time with their family. I've known him since he was born, his parents were friends of my husband and I in college. His hisotry is very tainted. He was abused sexually, physically and I can probably guess mentally, too. He has a list of mental and behavioral disorders which are usually contained with his daily medication but sometimes he still shows symptoms of his disorders even then. I can name that he has a schizophreniform disorder, a number of mood disorders, anxiety disorders in which he has panic attacks and severe anxiety at times. He suffers from anorexia and on occasion I'd catch him purging. I've also caught XXXXXXXX busing drugs and alcohol. He also has seizures.
User : I came into his room to collect the laundry when I found that it was damp. I later discovered it was urine and he had peed not while he was wearing the clothes, but in the closet and in the hamper. I didn't talk to him about this yet because I'm not sure how to talk about it, honestly but I know it can't go unoticed. Yesterday, I came in to check on him because he was being unusally quiet and I found him sitting by the closet smearing his poop on the wall and fresh urine in the closet. He was very quiet and he didn't fight me when I took him to the bathroom and sat him down to ask him why he was doing it. I didn't yell. He just looked at me with a helpless expression and didn't say anything.
User : why is he starting this new behaviour?
Doctor : how long has he been behaving like this ?
User : just yesterday night and this morning
Doctor : ok
Doctor : Is there anything happened during this 2 days
Doctor : i mean any acute change in his environment
User : not that i'm aware of
Doctor : ok
Doctor : anything at his school
