User :   I have pelvic pressure that started yesterday when my menes began. I don't urinate only small amounts, and I have no burning when urinating. My only symptom is pressure and it started right when my meses started. What could be going on?
Doctor :   Hi Dr
Doctor :   let me read ur query
Doctor :   may i know ur age ?
User :   33 years old
Doctor :   do u have similr symptoms during your periods, most of the time ?
User :   no...I have never had the pressure before during my period. I did have pressure before and it lasted a few days. I mentioned it to my dr. when I went for my yearly exam and she said everything looked good and it could have just been a muscle...but that time it didn't happen during my period
Doctor :   sometimes a bulky uterus may exert pressure and this can appear as pressure on the bladder and a sence of urgency while urinating
User :   would this be something that would happen every month? What causes this? Will it go away after my period is over?
Doctor :   since you dont have any major symptoms of UTI, this appears to be a transient effect seen only during your menses and mostly it will subsude after your periods
Doctor :   this could also seem like a asyomptomatic or variant of cystitis
Doctor :   I woud ladvie u to undergo a urine analysis to rule out infection
User :   What is that...I have never heard of either?
Doctor :   ** advice
Doctor :   Cystitis (bladder infection ) i mean
User :   Could I have a urine analysis during my period? I was just at my dr.'s office Monday for a check up (nothing to do with this) and had no symptoms and had a urine analysis done last Tuesday (for something completely different.
Doctor :   also these symptoms could be due to stress incontinence and medication an be prescribed t treat the urgency symptoms if u have them by your doctor .
Doctor :   yes the test could be helpful too
Doctor :   are u there ?
User :   so could this just be something completely unrelated to starting at the same time as my period?
Doctor :   yes that could be the case
User :   Would it hurt to just wait until after I am done with my period to go to my dr?
Doctor :   no not really
Doctor :   but waiting for the periods to get over can change the results of the physical examination and urine results
User :   do you suggest I go right away then?
Doctor :   within the next 2 days would help
Doctor :   you need to seek medical attention when u r affected the most
User :   I hate to go twice in the same week but I will give them a call tomorrow and see what they say. Thank you
Doctor :   you are welcome
Doctor :   you can wait for the urine results that was done earlier , and changes in the subsequent samples will be known
Doctor :   thank you for consuting me here
User :   the results came back already as fine...thank you
Doctor :   take care and bye for now.
