Doctor :   Yes, because in meningococcal infection the rashes are one of the symptoms but not always present and not always the first presentation.

Doctor :   So please do not worry and see a dermatologist to do a complete examination and treat you accordingly.
User :   so you dont think it is meningcoccal
User :   if u thought it was u would tell me to go to the ER
Doctor :   I meant that meningococcal is the least causative for the rash in your case. So, it doesnt mean you have meningococcal infeciton and please see a dermatologist.
User :   SO IT IS MENINGICOCCAL

User :   I AM VERY SCARED AS IT IS

User :   THE RASH ON MY NECK IS REALLY A DARK PURPLE ND WHEN I PRESS IN ON IT IS FADES
Doctor :   Because I feel that it could be due to contact allergy or fungal infection as they too present with similar rashes.
