User :   Hi
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :   How can I help you?
User :   I have been diagnosed to have kidney stone couple of days back
User :   Today I got the 1 scanning done and the scanning report says that: User :   Right kidney measures 127mm. Parenchymal thickness 25 mm. There is a 5 x 4mm calculus at the right terminal ureter, just proximal to the ureterovesical junction with mild hyfrouretronephrosis.
User :   What does it mean?
User :   Is the stone passing thru down now?
User :   Right now I don't have any pain and on medication Spasmoproxyvon, Taxim-o, and Voveran
Doctor :   Before I can interpret the ultrasound findings, I would like you to answer few of my questions which are relevant. And can help me in interpreting the report better
User :   ok
Doctor :   Do you have any problem while passing urine?
User :   no
User :   I can pass it in normal, no blood
Doctor :   Do you have fever, burning sensation while passing urine?
Doctor :   Can you confirm your age?
Doctor :   Do you have swelling of the face, limbs?
Doctor :   Do you have history of diabetes?
User :   No fever, yesterday it was difficult to pass the urnie, but with pressure, I was able to pass the urine as well
User :   No swlling, no diabetes
User :   Age:39
Doctor :   Can you confirm your age?
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   Let me explain to you.
Doctor :   Yes, when compared to your previous scan, in which the report mentioned that the stone was in the renal tubule,
Doctor :   the present report says that the stone is passing down.
User :   Last report reads as below: Doctor :   Most often a kidney stone which is less than 5-6mm in size can easily pass through without difficulty.
Doctor :   And a size of below 10mm can occasionally pass off without intervention.
Doctor :   When comparing with this statistics, I expect the current kidney stone to pass off immediately.
User :   ureter near vesicouretric junction. An echogenic calculus measuring 5mm is noted in the lower end of right ureter near vesicaoureteric junction. Proximal ureter appears mildly dilated.
User :   I have an appointment with the Urologist tomorrow
User :   I will consult him
Doctor :   Ok
Doctor :   When compared to your previous reports, the stone is passing down,
User :   'Based the today's scan report, is the condition same, worse and improved?
User :   ok
Doctor :   The only concerning thing is the hydronephrosis
User :   what's that condition?
Doctor :   Hydronephrosis is an indication that there are some evidence of urine obstruction.
Doctor :   Since you do not have inability to pass urine and you do not have other symptoms of urine obstruction, I expect this to improve subsequently.
Doctor :   You will need to watch out for few symptoms,
Doctor :   Such as inability to pass urine, swelling of the limbs and face.
Doctor :   Continue drinking plenty water and use analgesics if you have pain.
Doctor :   The stone should pass off without any more complications.
Doctor :   Have you followed what I have suggested?
User :   I occansially get pain, but not much that I can't withstand
User :   Swlling in where?
User :   I am taking the pain killers
User :   Ok, got it
Doctor :   Swelling of the face, lower limbs apart from inability to pass urine are the symptoms that you need to watch out for.
User :   Ok, Yesterday, I had pain in Pennis and now I don't have that as well.
User :   Ok Doctor thanks.
Doctor :   Reduction in pain
Doctor :   less discomfort while passing urine are all signs that you are getting better.
Doctor :   You will need to continue taking plenty of water.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Since the stone is not large, there should not be any more complications and the stone should be off in the next few days.
Doctor :   Do you have any other query?
User :   Ok Doctor thanks a lot for your time
User :   Shall I continue to use the same medicine?
User :   Spasmoproxyvon,Taxim-o,Voveran
Doctor :   You can continue with the same medication.
Doctor :   Restrict the use of voveran.
Doctor :   though.
Doctor :   Use voveran only if there is severe pain.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Taxim -O is an antibiotic and should be taken as suggested by your doctor.
Doctor :   The most important of all is your hydration.
User :   What about Spasmoproxyvon
Doctor :   Spasmoproxyvon is again given for pain.
Doctor :   You can stop this too, if your pain is not severe.
User :   ok
User :   Pain is not much at all
User :   Ok, Doctor thanks a lot
User :   Bye for now
Doctor :   Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor :   Bye for now.
