User :   from past 2 months, my periods were delayed which followed by spotting and finally periods

User :   just wanted to check with you what is this tablet for?

Doctor :   Or to relieve minor often used as an analgesic to relieve minor aches and pains, as an antipyretic to reduce fever.

User :   just got worried because the tablet cover states an important note - not to take during last 3 months of pregnancy which may lead to bleeding

Doctor :   ECOSPRIN 75 (Aspirin 75 mg) is an
inhibitor of platelet aggregation. It
inhibi ts the format ion of cyclooxygenase products (Thromboxanes,
Prostaglandins, Prostacycl ins) .
ECOSPRIN 75 tablets are entericcoated. This coating acts to prevent
the release of Aspirin in the stomach
but permits the tablet to dissolve in the
small intestine with resultant absorption
in the upper portion of the small
intestine. Enteric coating of ECOSPRIN
75 lowers the intestinal discomfort like
vomiting and gastrointestinal ulcer. It is
also useful in myocardial infarction and
brain hemorrhage due to i t s
anticoagulatory property.
