Doctor :   from the history i could think of few things
Doctor :   which might be possible causes of ur problem
Doctor :   of tingling and burning sensation
User :   ok, just tell me your views
Doctor :   Any type of tingling, burning, or numbness is usually a symptom related to a sensory nerve being damaged, diseased, or injured
Doctor :   causes depend on the exact location of the paraesthesia sensations, but typically include a physical nerve injury type condition
Doctor :   injury can be for example a nerve entrapment or some type of pressure being applied to a nerve directly or to the spinal attachment of that nerve
Doctor :   or a disease condition affecting the nerves e.g. neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and others)
Doctor :   Any of these tingling or numbness symptoms are more than just annoying; they can indicate a serious medical condition and require prompt medical diagnosis
User :   dou think the burning sensation of the thigh and the back ache are related issues, or isolated cases. which specialist should i consult for this , i mean a neurologist, or an orthopaedician or a neuro surgeon
Doctor :   it could related to each other
Doctor :   also the burning sensation in ur feet since 6 months
Doctor :   can be due to diabetes or associated nerve injury
Doctor :   either way i would suggest u to consult a neurologist
Doctor :   please dont ignore
Doctor :   u may need MRI scan of ur spine
Doctor :   along with few tests like blood routine, Nerve conduction studies, also get ur BLood glucose levels checked
User :   the neurologist whom i consulted told me that it is not a serious problem, he prescribed me gabapentin tablets . But the problem still persist .
Doctor :   any neurological condition cannot be assessed with history alone, it need to be confirmed with these tests and most importantly clinical examination
Doctor :   since the problem is persisting for long time
Doctor :   almost 15 years i would suggest you to please consult them again since the problem is persisting
Doctor :   it needs to be examined
Doctor :   also u r blood pressure needs to be checked as well
Doctor :   i would suggest you to join yoga as well
Doctor :   it will surely help u overcome this back problem
User :   ok, i will ask my neurologist to do the required tests. do you think an mri scan can can bring out any indication of spinal problem.
Doctor :   either way u need to keep urself fit with regular exercise
Doctor :   yes it needs in ur case
Doctor :   yes it is needed in ur case
