User :   well my daughter is now 10 months...but she is very active,all over the place, but her weight is an issue..she is presently under weight by 1kg...she is at times fussy about her can i ensure my child is healthy & within the required weight range ?? is this serious or am I getting too paranoid about this ??

Doctor :   what is her current weight? and what was her birth weight?
User :   she was 3 kg at birth & is now only 6.7kgs
Doctor :   ok. birth weight should be triple by the age of 1 year.
User :   yes around 9 right
Doctor :   so her weight now should be around 7-8 kgs

Doctor :   now coming to her eating patter, if she is very active, she will burn off the calories soon
Doctor :   and hence not put on weight
Doctor :   so focus on making her eat by making food interesting and give her high protien diet
Doctor :   like egg yolk 3 times a week, beans, rajma, chick peas curry with whole wheat chapati
Doctor :   you can make her chapatis colorful and small in size

Doctor :   you can try making small baby pizzas, or smal puris. children tend to associate with smaller size stuff as they themselves are small

User :   it will help me specially since i m a working mom & she is taken care by my in laws
Doctor :   take 1 cup each of rice, wheat, bengal gram, almonds, groundnuts, cashews and raisins.
Doctor :   dry fry each of them separatey except the raisins.
Doctor :   powder them separately and mix them an dkeep
Doctor :   add two tbsp of this powder to about 100 ml milk and boil until you reach a porridge consistency
Doctor :   and give that to her atleast once a day

Doctor :   try to make her foods colorful and looking diffecrent like different shapes and sizes of the food items for eg into animal patterns and flowers and round shape and rectangle and sqaure etc, such that she finds variety

Doctor :   try to stop the lactogen, go more with homemade foods and natural suppliments since she is 10 months now

Doctor :   yes, you can introduce very small quantities of each over a weeks time and continue based on her response

Doctor :   yes i am serious, vegetarian eggs are the eggs, which have not undergone fertilization, so it does not contain the zygote and is called as vegetarian eggs.
