I have extreme leg pain while walking but with rest they feel better. Both big toes have gone numb. I do have high cholestrol and I am taking simvastin. Should I suspect PAD or am I crazy.
Doctor :   hello
Doctor :   i am
User :   Hi: Should I type myquestion again?
Doctor :   no i got it
Doctor :   just going thru it
Doctor :   may i know your age and gender please ?
User :   I am 50, female
Doctor :   since when you have been having these symptoms ?
User :   I have been seeing Center for Pain Relief because of two slipped discs. One in the thorastic area and one in the lumbar. They give me a whole bunch of meds for pain. I thought this was part of having the slipped discs. Now I am not so sure. I take Lyrica 150mg. Nugenta for pain (sp) 50 mg. 4 times a day. and a muscle relaxant. I just thought this was typical for that but the pain has gotten so bad in my legs I can't walk or make it through my day. I come home exhausted and have to lay down and nap for 2 hours and then they feel better.
Doctor :   and what all diagnostic tests you have undergone ?
User :   mri's several times, I also get cortisol shots and they have shrunken the discs a little. My cholesteral is 247 with high LDL. My blood pressure is normal and I have just been tested again for diabetes and I do not have that. My sed rate is from 50 to 90 with high crp levels. I have been cleared of Sjorgens, Rhyutoid Arthritus, went to an onogologist all say they cannot diagnoise because of their tests are normal. They call me a Zebra. Just a weird patient with high sed rates.
Doctor :   well you sure have gone thru a lot of tests
Doctor :   but since you do have all the symptoms
User :   YES for ten years I have been digging and no one can help me.
Doctor :   so i guess the exact cause is still not been found out
Doctor :   do you have any swelling ??
Doctor :   how much can you walk before you legs start to hurt ?
User :   Right but I am spending a fortune on doctors! I Just need a little help. I live in a very rural area of Indiana. I am ready to give up. When I stand it is very hard and I am unstable. The first few steps are stiff like walking on stilts. The pain starts right away
User :   I do have swelling daily. I can put a thumb imprint in my leg
Doctor :   well ok here how i can help you
