User :   Hi i went to take a lactose test 1 week ago and found out that i am lactose intolerant and also have some bacteria ...i was prescribed cipro and metronidazole..i just want to know if these medications are for yeast infections in the esophagus
User :   that's what i had 2 months ago after i found out i had gerd thru an endoscopy

User :   i have also been feeling a sensation of something stuck in my throat.. but when i eat or drink it goes down normal

User :   sleeping elevated 6-8 inchs

User :   dont drink coffee,acid or fatty foods
User :   i am taking prilosec otc for it

as said To elevate the head end by 6-8 inches while sleeping

more so not to eat full stomach at night

do not lie down or go to sleep immediately after having food
Doctor :   a gap of at least half hour should be given before going to sleep after the food

not to consume hot very spicy and oily and fatty stuff

what all you eat for a day, the same amount be eaten in small small quantity in 4 to 5 times

User :   now back to the sensation in the throat sometime is light feeling that it doesnt bother me but sometime its very strong and since taking the new meds its been stronge can it be the meds

as i said earlier the sensation is because of GERD and not because of the medicines

if GERD is controlled then gradually the sensation in throat also will go off
