User :   my 15wks old baby is on Lactogen and he has only 2-3 feeds only a day? He enjoys drinking water better than the milk...should i change milk?

User :   I also started giving him solid, like porridge in the mornings and eats that well also
Doctor :   May I know who suggested to give the lactogen.
Doctor :   The WHO suggest the use of only breast milk untill the age of 4months.
Doctor :   Any top feeds are to be started only at the end of 4th month.
Doctor :   So I would like to know who suggested the use of lactogen.
User :   Actually no one in patricular...i have had 3 babies and they were on Lactogen, as i do not sufficient to even express to even fill up one bottle

Doctor :   Extensive research has suggested that if you are capable of getting pregnant without any difficulties, you may not have any difficulties in producing sufficient.

Doctor :   Expressing milk is different from lactation.
Doctor :   There are reflex stimulation during feeding that helps in producing more milk which is not seen during expressing.
Doctor :   I would suggest you to keep your child on breast milk alone, unless suggested by a doctor.
