I have a knee problem since last 6 month
my age is 38, and during playing cricket some minor injury in knee cap before 2 years
my weight is around 99 kg
Can you explain what problem you have now?
if i walk for more then 20 min or run, my knee is full of liquid and minor swelling is there.
Do you have pain too?
And do these symptoms improve with time or do you need treatment for it?
i consult one orthopedic in ahmedabad, he advice me for surgery..but i think i don't have much problem..
Was any scan done when you met the orthopedic?
yes, x-ray and MRI is also done...i want to reduce my weight by 15 kg..my height is 6.2'.. can u guide me how can i reduce my weight ??

You have 2 concerns. One is your knee problem and the other weight.
Knee injury in some cases become chronic when it is not attended immediately.
doctor says arthritis changes started early..
It looks like your old injury has not become chronic.
Arthritis only refers to inflammation of joint.
It can be caused by various causes.

I love to walk, but because of this problem i can't walk much

I would like to share some diet tips to complement the exercises.
The 2 important aspects is consuming high fibre, low calorie complex carbohydrate bulk forming diet with low fats.
and consuming plenty of water to keep yourself hydrated.
Accordingly, your diet should be as follows:
1. Start your day as you wake up.
Drink a glass of warm water or skimmed milk with honey or lemon.
2. Follow it up with your exercise. 15-20 minutes of cycling could do. If you do not have much of pain you can increase it to 30-45 minutes; but don't exert if you have knee problems.
Go slow with exercise.
And do warm up before exercise; and end with a rejuvenating/cool shower.
3. Breakfast between 8-9:30.
Breakfast should be healthy. If you are a rice lover, you can satisfy taking them at this time.
idlies; dosa; kellogs; oats or any other healthy breakfast could do.
If you take rice cereal items like idly or dosa restrict it to not more than 2.

Avoid coconut or ground nut chutney.
Avoid anything very sweet.
instead you can try sambar or tomato chutney.
Or a fruit.
Skimmed milk or butter milk can do.
Use honey/sugar free instead of sugar.

Restrict tea consumption. If you can't black tea or with skimmed milk can do. Alternatively you may try green tea.
If you need a bit taste, you could add honey to it or lemon to it.
You may carry a bottle of honey with you.
You can disclose that you are on diet to your customer and they should be ok with it.

If you haven't consumed tea between breakfast/lunch, you can supplement a fruit like XXXXXXX
Avoid banana/avocado/sapota/seethaphal/too sweet fruits.
4. Lunch between 1-2:30 consisting of 2 roti or pulka or 1 kulcha with 2 vegetable curry/mix. 1 katori of rice or another roti can do.
You could add sambar and a katori of curd to it.
Restrict deserts such as icecream or sweets.
Salads with low calorie dressings can do.
5. Evening snacks with green tea, high fibre biscuits; fruits can do.
6. Dinner should be plain and simple. Roti/kulcha with vegetables can do.

Dinner should be preferably between 8-9pm. however the important criteria should be that your dinner has to be atleast 2 hours before you sleep.
Evening snack between 4-6pm.
Any vegetables except root vegetables can be taken.
Radish/turning which are root vegetables can be taken.
Along with this diet, drink sufficient water. Atleast 6-8 glasses of water is a must.
If you take egg, then 2 egg white and no egg yolks.
Restrict junk foods, fizzy drinks.

If you like swimming in the evening/morning, you can do that instead of cycling in the morning.

Restrict oil. And among oils it would be better if the oil is mixture of 2 vegetable oil.
Sunflower/saf flower oil/olive oil can do.
You get such mix oils in the market now. you may use them.
Follow this diet and exercise and you should be able to lose weight.
