User :   I have a knee injury in 52
User :   in 2003
User :   my ligament got teared and now it seems i am not able to play any sport for last 6-7 years
User :   when the knee moves, it makes noise as if there is no friction between bones

User :   this is something common which happens during playing football and i suffered the same while playing football

Doctor :   Well the ligament injuries do heal up soon but its the faulty healing of the scarring of the torn ends which presents with problems on long term

Doctor :   Yes , the conservative management is with the braces or caps with pain killer gels
Doctor :   But if the problem is really serious and unbearble

Doctor :   the Orthoscopic reconstruction of the ligament is what a permanent solution

Doctor :   I am afraid , thats the only permanent and complete solution

Doctor :   but the success rate is also poor in such surgeries

Doctor :   yes, i would suggest physiotherapy as one of the simple measures
Doctor :   but will take years to see a good change
User :   i dont mind even it takes 5 years
Doctor :   not 5 , may be 2 to 3 years

User :   3 years is decent... wat excersise will this include
Doctor :   Ones like simple stretching seeing that the ligaments are stretched evenly
Doctor :   Also involves shockwave diathermy which will relax the muscles and loosen up the ligaments
