User :   I am a poliomyletic patient as well as Kidney transplaned.I use to give private tution in my home all the time. Now I am facing the problem of little bit and left leg not giving me support while walking.What I should do for Walking independently.

User :   Age is 40 years and I am effected near about 37 years

User :   Yes, just after my kidney operation when I stop to go outside alone
Doctor :   you mean to say u have cold intolerance ?
User :   I am not following you please clear me your question
Doctor :   may i know the reason why u had your kidney transplanted ?
User :   High blood presure
Doctor :   Anyway, In ur current issue of gait issues, and lack of support in your leg, i would advice you to undergo physiotherapy
Doctor :   also it depends on the degree of involvement of the leg muscles , either due to contractures or atrophy
Doctor :   if there are contractures, they have to be released by a procedure, called tendon elongation
User :   I am taking physiotherapy since one year but not getting any improvement
Doctor :   if the muscles are atrophied, then they need to stimulated via physiotherapy
Doctor :   Have u seen any doc in the PMR (physical medicinie and rehabilitation dept)
Doctor :   If u have not done so, i advice u to see a specialist in PMR
Doctor :   he will advice specific splints or footwear that will help u accordingly
User :   Last month I have Stimulation treatment also taking advice of Dr.P.S.Das
