User :   For the past few weeks after I have urinated I have had a small amount of blood on the paper. I have also been having some lower right-sided back pain. About 8 months ago I had a hysterectomy where my bladder was cut and my right ureter was "kinked" during the surgery. I had to have a cathether for six weeks that healed my bladder tear, and I had a stent put in the ureter for about a month. After the stent was removed, it was determined that the ureter was open. I can't remember what was done to determine that. Could I be having a problem with that ureter again? I'm not sure where to go - back to my urologist, urgent care, or primary care physician. I don't feel as though I have a UTI. Thank you for your time and information.
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Helo
Doctor :
let me read
Doctor :
is the blood frank or mixed with the urine?
User :   Bright red - urine looks fine.
Doctor :
is it at the end of urination or at the beginning of urination the blood appears ?
User :   At the end
Doctor :
pain in the right lower side of the back from when ?
User :   About a month now
User :   I also had my right ovary removed, so I've ruled that out.
Doctor :   does the blood appear on every act of urination ?
User :   No - maybe only three times in the last month
Doctor :
Doctor :   you need to get it evaluated by the urologist
Doctor :   ovary do not cause blood in urine
User :   I was thinking of the back pain with the ovary.
User :   Would I have a fever if it was a UTI or kidney infection
User :   I feel fine otherwise
Doctor :   yes if it is a infection there will be fever
Doctor :
pain in the lower back with blood in urine indicates urinary system calculi
User :   Any thoughts as to what it could be? Should I be worried?
User :   What is calculi
Doctor :   calculi means stone
User :   Will it just continue to get worse? I dread any more testing.
Doctor :   since ther4e was a rent in the bladder and the ureter was kinked, it needs an radiological procedure to know the status of the urinary system

Doctor :
X ray KUB and ultrasound of abdomen are the investigations along with urine examination
Doctor :
that are required to be done
User :   Thank you!
Doctor :   thanks for consulting healthcaremagic
Doctor :
bye for now
