User :   I have vale light, pale stools. It has been like this for about a week, and to my knowledge, I have never had it in the past. My diet hasn't changed at all, and I am not consuming anything I wouldn't. I don't smoke, and rarely drink. Also, I have had kidney infections in the past. I'm a 19 year old Male, to add to the information. I was wondering if you could possibly diagnose why this could be happening, and whether or not it is a cause of concern?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi Dr.
Doctor :   Do you have any other medical problems?
Doctor :   Sorry
User :   No I don't
Doctor :   the stool was brown colored before right.
User :   Yes, it was.
Doctor :   Are you taking medicines?
User :   No I'm not.
Doctor :   Stool that is pale or grey may be caused by insufficient bile output due to conditions such as cholecystitis, gallstones, giardia parasitic infection, hepatitis, chronic pancreatitis, or cirrhosis.
Doctor :   Bile salts from the liver give stool its brownish color. If there is decreased bile output, stool is much lighter in color.
User :   I do have a liver cyst, i forgot to mention.
Doctor :   But all of the conditions I have mentioned above give other symptoms
Doctor :   Does it smell different?
User :   Yes, it is a vile, pungent smell.
Doctor :   Is it a new change?
User :   Yes, it is.
Doctor :   Usually stools sinks . Does it float?
User :   Yes, the stools float.
Doctor :   How is your appetite?
Doctor :   Do you have abdominal pain?
User :   As good as always. And yes, i have suffered recently with some abdominal pain, but it is very rare
Doctor :   Even though symptoms are absent, it could be abnormal
Doctor :   I recommend you get the liver function tests- to screen for any abnomalities

It was nice chatting to you to, thank you for the advice, it has shown me what to do.
