User :   i have problem with my Jaws, it some times struck and i can't open my mouth. it pains a lot

User :   now a days it's very frequent. now i can't open my mouth too wide

Doctor :   Let me explain to you now.
Doctor :   Inability to open mouth normally is defined as trismus in medical terms.
User :   okey.
Doctor :   They can occur intermittently where the problem resolves after some time to recurr again. Or they can be present permanently.
Doctor :   Based on your description, it appears that you have this problem intermittently.
Doctor :   There are various causes for such episodes of trismus (intermittent forms of trismus)
User :   ok
Doctor :   It could be related to infection, changes in the body temperature, Temperomandibular joint (joint above the jaw near the ear) dyslocations, some medications, injury, convulsions and so on.
Doctor :   In your case, it seems that it may be due to the joint dyslocation.

Doctor :   In simple terms, there could be weakness of the TM joint leading to the difficulty.
Doctor :   I suggest that you see doctor for examination.

Doctor :   You may need an xray of the jaw bone and few other test to rule out the other possible conditions.

Doctor :   Treatment can be best formulated once the source of the problem can be identified.
