Currently my wife is carrying and she is in her 9th month. she has recently developed allergy kind of is spreading all over the body and itching(burning) sensation is too much.
Can you please let us know what are the precautions and medicines to use.

Doctor :   may i know if the itching had been there throughout her pregnancy or anytime earlier as well or is this the first time now ?
User :   it is very much now.. initially it was very low
Doctor :   by initially do you mean in the other months of pregnancy ?
User :   yes.. once in a while it was there
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   does she have rashes , wheezing or itchy eyes , etc also ?
User :   yes rashes are there.. and they are spreading all over the legs and hands

Doctor :   did she have anyhting form outside or any insect bite ?
User :   no
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :   some amount of itching is common in pregnancy due to changes in some hormone levels and enzyme levels
Doctor :   but if it is severe , and rashes also are seen she needs to see her doctor immediately
Doctor :   she must take medicines only after the doctor examines her
Doctor :   and I may not be able to prescribe medicines here as i have not examined the same
User :   okay. we consulted one doctor who prescribed avil 25 mg but we dont see any improvement
Doctor :   ok , she may need further medicines on this

Doctor :   as other causes like allergy have to be ruled out and taken care of
