User :   I had scar near my genitals. It was treated by a doctor as skin problem. But now my fiancee had viral infection. We kissed a few times. Am I having herpes?

User :   went toa doc who treated it as a skin disorder

User :   No.. no penetrative sex

User :   it was taken long back and I ususlly use soframysin ointment
Doctor :   this does not seem to be herpes

User :   No.. He just recommended the cream.. betnovate or soframycin
Doctor :   did u have small, multiple (, 4mm) painful ulcers, at the time of infection and treatment ?
User :   Not that I can remember but might be

User :   Is it possible that I have pimples when I was infected and later on they dont occur?
Doctor :   once infected, and healed, u will be having immunity
Doctor :   and only, when u become immunosuppresed, the infection can resurface,

User :   Im asking because my fiancee is having viral eye infection now
Doctor :   and thats MORE common in very old age, or when u are taking cancer trreatment, etc
Doctor :   thats due to other reasons and not associated to you kissing

User :   A lot if times I have itching in my groin region,,.

User :   The skin gets very dry in winters and dry climate
User :   but otherwise its ok

Doctor :   i dont think there is any need for any tests for u at the moment
Doctor :   for the iching, wear hygienic cloths, maintain self hygiene
Doctor :   the itching could be due to fungal infection of the skin, so apply creams like itchguard, which may be helpful
