User:Is it safe to get injections (in the vein) 7 days in a row?
Doctor:Dr XXXXXXX here
Doctor:Changing the vein after 3 days is advisable
User:(I'm currently in Moscow Russia and I've visited the doctor because a couple days ago I got the flu or cold and on top of that I've had some congestion in my chest for the last 3-4 weeks.
Doctor:Please proceed with your query
User:Is this considered a normal procedure? or is there another way to get around the congestion?
Doctor:They could have administered antibiotics. yes, this is a normal procedure but same vein for all 7 days is not good
User:(And is it normal for there to be pain during the whole process of the injection)
User:Last thing and I assume it's normal for the area to be sore for awhile as well?
Doctor:If the same vein is used for longer time. The vein could get infected or inflamed causing thrombophlebitis
Doctor:Yes, soreness will surely disappear within 2 or 3 days after the procedure
User:So it looks like I'll have fun as this procedure lasts 7 days
Doctor:Changing the vein after 3 days is recommended.
User:Thank you for your help Dr Raju!
Doctor:same vein for 7 days can cause problems
User:Your insight was much apprecciated. (I'll make sure they change veins.
User:Thank you Doctor!
Doctor:You are welcome
Doctor:Wish you good health.
User:Have a good day!
Doctor:you too
Doctor:Take care
