User :   My father in law is going through chemotherapy. He goes for 3 days in a row so they leave the IV port in his arm and cover with a "sock" when he goes home. I have a 6 month old daughter and worry about her exposure to the port. Should I be worried or it is safe?
User :   What is she touches it? Could there be residue from the Chemo or anything harmful?
Doctor :   yes

Doctor :   and chidren are to be kept far from it
Doctor :   ask the paramedical people to cover it with a roller gauge
