User :   Hello Doc, my wife is suffering form suspected IBS for the last few months. She has shifted between allopathy/ayurvedic to no avail. Can you suggest a treatment for recovery ?

User :   we had blood and stoll infection tests done .results are nil
Doctor :   May I know the details of your wife's(patients) height and weight?
User :   colonoscopy also did not give out any infections
Doctor :   Does she have regular periods?
User :   she is 5' 1 inch and has a current weight of 44 kgs has come down form 51 in almost 12 mths

Doctor :   Based on the details that you mentioned, there are possibilities that she may have thyroid hormone disturbances.
Doctor :   Get a TSH levels checked,

Doctor :   if they are normal, then it rules out thyroid hormone dysfunctions.

Doctor :   Alternatively, you can get the whole Thyroid function test done,
Doctor :   You can consult an endocrinologist, if the values are abnormal.

User :   if Hormonal dysfunction is ruled out?
