User :   Doctor my kid is 6 months old now and this is his 7 months, so can I start Lactogen 2 and cerelac 1

Doctor :   yes you can start him/her on topfeeds and weaning
Doctor :   better would be to give home based simple fods
Doctor :   which are more easy and culturally aceptable to teh baby

Doctor :   and less incidence of stomach and allergic problems
Doctor :   what is the child taking now?
User :   So doctor what would be the home based simple foods fine to the 6 months kid
Doctor :   try fist with soft and overcooked is the safest to start with. add a bit of salt to taste
User :   currently he is only on the lactogen 1 feed, vegetable soups, Parle G buiscuits
Doctor :   if the child is tolerating that, then start with slowly by mixing dal, and boiled vegetables over a period of 1 month
User :   we have already started fro last of the 6 months with home based simple fods
Doctor :   ok, you can start with Lactogen 2, and slowly get him over to Cerelac , else start with home foods like rice, wheat rotis/chaptis/dosa

Doctor :   continue giving him the simple home foods, if he is tolerating well
Doctor :   prepare a mixture of the following and cook with milk or water, and add milk later, and give to the child for breakfast
Doctor :   1) take 1 cup each of rice, bengal gram, moong dal, almonds, and cashews/raisins.

Doctor :   dry fry them for a while (be sure not to make them brown)
Doctor :   and grind them separately

Doctor :   and cook 1-2 sppons of this with milk or water and later add milk

Doctor :   2) start giving egg yolk, boiled, mix with rice (mashed) or potatoes, and give

Doctor :   yes, you can give biled potatoes, mashed, and mixed with boiled carrots, and beans
Doctor :   you can add slowly a half of boiled egg yolk to it or with rice
Doctor :   and give for lunch

User :   sir my baby has never taken the mother's feed and we have only given the Lactogen 1
Doctor :   3) after a month if baby is tolerating well, then add fish (cooked, fried/boiled) mash with potatoes or rice and give
Doctor :   4) similar can be done with chicken if baby is tolerating other foods well

Doctor :   dilute teh juice with water about 2:1 of juice:water ratio
