User :   hi
Doctor :   I am Dr.
User :   Hello Dr. This
User :   One of my family members has got very high diabetes
User :   recently the sugar levels went up drastically and she was admitted in the ICU, else the doctors say, she would have gone into a 'comma'. Now she is out of danger...and at home, however, they have advised use of insulin injections daily....
User :   I wanted to know if there is any other alternative to insulin?
Doctor :   o0k
Doctor :   Currently with her clinical status and post recovery there is no alternative I suggest to Insulin
User :   but i have gone through some websites and have read that insulin for a prolonged duration is not good for the liver...
Doctor :   it is the safest and the best treatment approach to monitor her blood sugar levels
Doctor :   I would strongly disagree with that given her clinical status
User :   ok....
User :   thanks!
Doctor :   Once she is stabilized and her bl glucoe levels are predictable
Doctor :   then switching is advised
Doctor :   Did you understand
User :   ok.....
User :   yes i did....
Doctor :   Do you have any more queries?
User :   actually the thought of getting injected everyday is painful itself...
User :   so was wondering if there was an alternative....
User :   anyways thanks for your would help
User :   no more queries...thanks!
Doctor :   Thank you
Doctor :   Bye for now
User :   Bye Dr.
