User :   I understand this is a disease of elimination. Hence can there be various differences of views or can there be other diseases which look similar and cannot be differentiated by a neuro?
Doctor :   since the disease presenrt the defects in the muscles innervated by the nerves involved, any kind of generalized musculoskeletal dis also do mimic as MND example would be Myasthenia Gravis
Doctor :   any kind of Myopathies
Doctor :   In MND the degeneration of the nerve will be at its beginning, but the final effect is elicited in the muscles, and any diseases involving the motor nerves at any point in there path can present as MND

Doctor :   Clinical examination will help in the type of injury whether sensory , motor or both and also to know the location of the nerve affection , then take biopsies at the suspected location to know the cause
