User :   hi, i have been feeling sick since monday. it started with a feeling of dizzyness/disorientation. and then turned into day long nausea, diarrhea, and constant fatigue. the past two days i have slept for over 10 hours at night and then by 4pm i feel exhausted
Doctor :   Ok.

Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Is there lot of mucus in the stool ?
User :   doesnt appear to be. just very liquid and foul smelling
Doctor :   Your symptoms point to different myriad of differential diagnosis, and as well without examining you , it would be a bit difficult for me, but as far as the symptoms vaguely point to Crohn's disease or Ulcerative Colitis .

User :   ok. how do i get tested for that?
Doctor :   1.Barium X-ray studies can be used to define the distribution, nature, and severity of the disease.
Doctor :   2.When barium is administered through the rectum (barium enema), pictures of the colon and the terminal ileum can be obtained. Barium X-rays can show ulcerations, narrowing, and, sometimes, fistulae of the bowel.
Doctor :   3.Direct visualization of the rectum and the large intestine can be accomplished with flexible viewing tubes (colonoscopes). Colonoscopy is more accurate than barium X-rays in detecting small ulcers or small areas of inflammation of the colon and terminal ileum. Colonoscopy also allows for small tissue samples (biopsies) to be taken and sent for examination under the microscope to confirm the diagnosis of Crohn's disease. Colonoscopy also is more accurate than barium X-rays in assessing the degree (activity) of inflammation.
Doctor :   4.(CAT or CT) scanning is a computerized X-ray technique that allows imaging of the entire abdomen and pelvis. It can be especially helpful in detecting abscesses; Recently, CT and MRI enterography, imaging techniques which use oral contrast agents consisting of watery solutions with or without low concentrations of barium to provide more adequate luminal distension.
User :   can something like this just manifest itself out of nowhere?
Doctor :   I would advise you to see a Medical Gastroenterologist.
Doctor :   Yes, Crohn's and UC are due to immunogical reactions of the human body and are still idiopathic and the cause is still unknown.
User :   ok. thank you
Doctor :   Thank you for consulting me and Take care.
Doctor :   Not to worry, they are all treatable and can be moderated, Do you have anything else to ask ?
Doctor :   Bye for now .
