Doctor :   hi
Doctor :
how can i help you
User :   Hi
Doctor :
hello
User :   I want to follow up on a discussion I had previously regarding urinary pain, as I have a symptom that may or may not be related that I did not mention last time
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
Proceed with your query
User :   ok, you may review my last history
Doctor :
ya sure
Doctor :
just give me a minute
User :   but to summarize, 25y/m, I have had increased urination over the past 2 years but recently has been getting worse where I will urinate then feel burning / stinging when I change positions or go to sit after urinating
User :   and I will have a little dribbling and leakage when I change positions as well
User :   after urination
Doctor :
ok
User :   urinalysis came back negative for any infections
Doctor :
Do you have urinary problems still now?
User :   yes, some days I barely notice issues but frequently I have them now
User :   sometimes I feel a bit of penile ache
Doctor :   ok

Doctor :
do you have any discharge for the penis?
User :   not that I can see
User :   I think when I have discharge it is only urine
Doctor :   ok

User :   I also want to notice that what I believe is the dorsal vein
User :   has become very large and off center
User :   been like that for at least a few months
User :   not sure if that is related
Doctor :   ok
Doctor :
Is it
Doctor :   Where is the vein?
User :   top of the penis but all the way to the right, as far right as you can go without being on the side
User :   then it turns almost 90 degrees left
User :   about an inch before the head
Doctor :
It is normal, there is no need to worry
User :   goes to the middle then disappears
User :   almost 1cm in diameter
Doctor :   ok

User :   and always present even more so when flaccid
User :   this is normal?
Doctor :
ok
User :   still there?
Doctor :
yes
Doctor :
kindly proceed
User :   so 1cm in diameter and off center is still normal?
Doctor :   One cm diameter is quite more than normal
User :   should I be concerned about this vein then?
User :   I had enlarged rectal veins (piles) that I just had surgery on so I am concerned
Doctor :
Normally the vein will be present
Doctor :
which is quite enlarged
Doctor :
and the veins enlarge more when the penis is erected
Doctor :
there is nothing to worry about this
User :   my concern is this vein is very large when not erected
User :   still okay?
Doctor :
Is it causing any pain?
User :   the vein itself is not painfull even if I touch it, it is soft and can be moved around without pain. But I do experience penile pain but not in the area of the vein
Doctor :   ok

Doctor :
as per your history
Doctor :
some tomes the vein will be enlarged more than normal in case of thrombophlebitis
Doctor :
that is inflammation of the vein
User :   as in a blood clot?
Doctor :   no
Doctor :
not a blood clot
User :   please continue
Doctor :   Is the veins tortous?
User :   what does tortous mean?
Doctor :
means curvy?
User :   one curve on it, it is shaped as a question mark straight along the top all the way the right then turns 80 to 90 degrees to the left and stops right in the center
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
Can the vein be moved easily?]
Doctor :
what is the color?
User :   easy to move
Doctor :   ok
User :   and the color of the skin over it is the same color as the skin that is not over the vein
Doctor :
is there pain while moving it?
User :   no
Doctor :   so no need to worry
Doctor :
It is the quite normal in some men to have enlarged veins
User :   ok good, good, sensitive area so I was worried very much, does this put me at risk for future issues or complications? And do you think it is not related to my urinary issues / pain?
Doctor :
No there is absolutely nothing to worry about it
Doctor :
it is very benign
Doctor :
Nothing to worry about it
User :   thank you this is very good'
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?

Doctor :   Please fill the feedback form say done when done.

Doctor :   Have you filled the feedback form?
Doctor :   are you there
User :   yes, just one more question
Doctor :
ok
Doctor :
Kindly proceed
User :   I still have the urinary issue and know I will probably need to go for more tests, but did you have any theories or suggestions to add on that?
User :   based on my symptoms
Doctor :
ya
Doctor :
i suggest you to get an ultrasound scan done
Doctor :   I saw your previous chats
Doctor :
and i also want you to get physically examined by a Urologist
User :   the ultrasound this is abdomen and pelvis or is this done on the penis as well by the urologist?
Doctor :   ultrasound abdomen and pelvis
User :   ok
User :   ok, will do, thank you
User :   that is all for today, I appreciate your help
