User :   My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for the past two years. We have not had much luck we are seeing a fertility Doc now. But me question is somwtimes when we have sex I tend to bleed it's not everytime, but the last two times weve had sex i did bleed. Is this the reason we can't get preganant? if not what does it mean?
Doctor :   Hi
User :   Hi
User :   what do you think?
Doctor :   Can a ask you some more details over it ?
User :   yes
User :   like what
Doctor :   Is the blood frank ( fresh ) or altered ( regular period bleed like ) ?
User :   well its bright red not dark at all and thats at first then it's dark and then gone
User :   so i would say it's fresh
Doctor :   ok, DO you get pain during the episode when you bleed than one when you do not bleed ?
User :   No really the odd time I guess it mgith hurt a bit, not much
User :   After words I feel a bit weird with abdomin pain
Doctor :   ok, Can you tell me the approximate amount of the bleed . Do you use pads , if yes , How many ?
User :   When I'm on my period?
Doctor :   No i mean the bleed after the intercourse
User :   OH
User :   well not much this last time more than the first I use a tampon I don't have pads and only one, than it' gone.
User :   The blood on the tampon is dark and old looking
Doctor :   ok, i do consider it to be traumatic bleeding , and may not be related to fertility anyhow
Doctor :   May i know your age , weight and height ?
User :   I'm 27 5'7 and about 140
User :   I'm athletic and try to stay healthy
Doctor :   ok, Are your cycles regular , and how many day cycle are they ?
User :   Yes and they last about 5to7 days
Doctor :   Is it a 30 day cycle or any variation ?
User :   it tends to vary I guess 28 is more common
Doctor :   ok, i would suggest you to get a series follicular scans starting from 12 th day of your cycle to notice the development of the ovum ( eggs ) .
User :   what does that mean?
Doctor :   if there is any defect then you can go for assisted pregnancy and get a succesful pregnancy
Doctor :   follicular scan enables to visualize the egg development in the ovaries
User :   Okay well The Dr now we have to go back on the 14 day of my cycle having sex the day before so he can test the mucus
User :   If everything is good there he will ookk at my husband
User :   look
Doctor :   if egg development is defective , there are medications which induce ovulation ( egg production ) and timely planned intercourse can result in pregnancy
User :   Really
User :   Than he want to do a painfull procedure that sees if everything is clear or not
Doctor :   the method your doctor is employing is good and it is observation type of method , but the method i am advising is preparation with intervention
User :   okay
Doctor :   the follicular scan is a simple painless scan
User :   oh good
User :   So they jst see how many eggs I have
Doctor :   yes, right
User :   So what if my husband has slower sperm
Doctor :   it has to be ruled out by sperm analysis , when your scan shows good number of eggs
Doctor :   or its a voluntry test done at any time , to rule out male infertility
Doctor :   if there is low sperm count , there are techniques called concentration tech
User :   Well he did that and the said he has lots but they are on the slow side
User :   What is that
Doctor :   its a technique where good motile active sperms are separated and insemenated in you
User :   okay thANKS
