User :   I got bit by a spider at work On Wed, they sent me to the company care center on Thursday where I was given Cipro and a Diphtheria/Tetanus shot.

I had to return on Friday where he lanced it then packed it. He said the packing should last until Monday and to just change to bandage and gauze around it.

My question is when I was changing the gauze today I noticed some puss and a little blood. Is it safe to keep the packing in there until Monday, and whats going to happen when he pulls it out? Will I need it re-lanced if it wasn't successful and if it was, will I need stitches or will I treat it as an open wound and let it close itself?

I have anxiety some I'm kinda freaking out
Doctor :   let me read
Doctor :
i am not sure whether what you have observed is pus with blood or it is a serous discharge with blood
Doctor :
if it is pus than then the pack has to be changed not to wait till monday
Doctor :
regarding how the wound is treated
User :   it was a thick creamy liquid
User :   not pus sorry
Doctor :
now it will be treated as open wound and allowed to heal by itself and not stitched
Doctor :

User :   some but he cut me pretty hard
User :   and squeezed very hard
Doctor :   yes that is the procedure of the incision and drainage

Doctor :
