Doctor:Good Evening
Doctor:How can I help you?
User:doctor my baby is 3 month old n she is caughing a lot.we can feel the chest congestion by touching her back.
Doctor:Is there any noisy breathing?
Doctor:Is she having fever or cold?
User:yes, she has nose congestion also for which we are giving her nasoclear
Doctor:Is she having fever?
User:no,but few days back on 7th of this month she got her vaccine for which she got fever only the very next day..after that she was ok
User:her mother is suffering from chickenpox
Doctor:Let me guide you regarding this.
Doctor:It is common for infants to have respiratory infections frequently as their immunity has not come to its full potential.
Doctor:But, we have to see if it is just a simple cough or if any infection is present within.
Doctor:This can be done only after a proper examination.
Doctor:For that, you will have to consult a pediatrician.
Doctor:In the meantime, you can continue using nasoclear.
User:the baby is not taking formula she is on breast this safe doctor
User:because her mother is infected
Doctor:It is best to continue with the breast feeding.
Doctor:Also maintain a warm environment in the room where the baby sleeps.
User:one last Q doctor
Doctor:May I know her weight?
Doctor:Sure, please proceed.
User:when we keep her warm she sweats a lot.some says sweating also causes what to do..her weight is 5.6 kg
Doctor:Keeping warm does not mean to keep in hot environment. Just that , it should not be cold.
Doctor:If she gets fever, you can use Calpol Drops. 5 drops 3 times daily.
User:ok and we are keeping the baby isolated from her for how long we have to keep hr isolated
Doctor:Until after all the crusting is over. That would be around 1 week after recovery.
Doctor:But, in the meantime please do get her examined by a pediatrician.
User:ok. thnx a lot doctor
Doctor:Have you understood all my suggestions?
Doctor:Is there anything else I could help you on?
User:not for now ..thnx doctor
Doctor:Hope I had been of help in addressing your concerns.
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me. Have a Nice Evening!!
