User:he said he will have high temperature for three days...

User:he did not have fever yesterday,,,,,
User:he again got it today...
User:he is not at all eating...
User:he is not able to sit....he is always lying down
User:he has temperature now...
User:btw he is 20 months
Doctor:I need to know few more details to guide you better.
User:go on...

User:He had very severe temperature on Monday and Tuesday!
User:he was ok yesterday...

User:Pacimol and Phenergan....
Doctor:Was his condition diagnosed as Viral Fever?
User:The doctor said it could be viral fever.,...
Doctor:Was any investigations done?
User:and so it could be there for 5 days,..
User:no....the doc just checked him...
Doctor:Thanks for the information given. let me guide you through this.
User:I also checked with my friend who is a doc...just a while back
User:He suggested an antibiotic....Amoxycilin....
User:I just checked his temperature,,,,,it is 99.4
User:but not much temp in his body.,. I am feeling it on is head....
Doctor:According to the history you have given, it seems to be Viral fever.
User:should i try the anti-biotic...?
Doctor:In my experience, Viral fever stays for around 5-7 days.
Doctor:I would not suggest an antibiotic until he has an ongoing infection/
User:oh ok!
Doctor:I would suggest you to wait for another 1-2 days. It should get better.
Doctor:in case, it is not getting better, surely you need to get back to the doctor who has examined him in the first place.
User:should i better i go to the hospital tomorrow?
Doctor:Further tests would be required then.
Doctor:I would suggest you to take him to the same doctor who examined him previously.
Doctor:it would be easier for the doctor to find the changes.
Doctor:You can take him tomorrow.
Doctor:Meanwhile, continue with the same medications.
User:the doctor also said that we will wait for 3-4 days...if no improvement..then he wanted to test for Dengue fever...
Doctor:Yes. That should be done.
User:I am little worried....
User:Is there any symptom?
Doctor:You need not worry. This is a very common occurrence to have a viral fever.
Doctor:In case of dengue fever, the child will be always crying and lethargic.
Doctor:Again, dengue fever is a viral fever too. So the symptoms will be similar.
Doctor:Some cases of dengue may show blood in urine or stool. Bleeding from gums while brushing can also be noted.
Doctor:So, if the fever does not subside further investigations to rule out the causes of fever will be required.
User:Ok doctor...I will rush to the hospital tomorrow...
Doctor:If I were in your place, I would not worry now, as the fever is coming down slowly. And I would wait till tomorrow and then XXXXXXX the same doctor for further investigations.
User:My main concern is that he is not eating....
Doctor:Please do not worry. I do not find anything critical in the history you have given.
Doctor:I understand.
Doctor:Even when adults have fever, we do not feel like eating anything.
Doctor:So that is an expected part of fever.
User:he is always feeling like lying down....and not active...however, he was very active yesterday
Doctor:But, make sure he takes plenty of water and juices.
User:you mean fruit juices?
User:fresh fruit juice...he has it ok?>
Doctor:That is fine. But don't give him cold juice.
Doctor:Cough will also come down with fresh juice such as orange.
User:he doesn't drink that...that is another problem..
User:anyways...we will try again..
Doctor:Don't push it too hard.
Doctor:Just be soft, and try give him in a spoon little by little.
Doctor:Water intake should be maintained.
User:he is drinking more water....
Doctor:That is good news.
Doctor:So relax, and wait till tomorrow.
User:I wish and pray it is not Dengue..:-(
User:Thank you so much doctor...
Doctor:Hope this discussion had been useful. Is there anything else I can assist you on?
User:for your kind information I am giving the Pacimol (3ml) for every five hours!
User:the doc suggested for every six hours..
User:should that be ok....
Doctor:That is fine. You can give upto every four hours. Now, since the fever has come down, you can make it every 6 hours.
User:OK Doc. Yes this has been a great discussion. I really love this facility.
User:Thanks again!
Doctor:I do not think it is dengue. But then, it can be confirmed only by an investigation.
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Relax and have a Good Night!
Doctor:Bye for now.
User:Good night. Bye for now.
