User :   Stomache problems- may be IBS- distress when eating foods with sugars and MSG or potato parasites and blood for iron , etc all good- what can I do? What can it be?

User :   Have had anxiety and IBS for 20+ years but lately things ahve gotten worst.
User :   What type of doctor are you?
Doctor :   I am a general physician.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Can you describe your symptoms -distress??
User :   Lots of gas, and immediately upon eating things that don't agree with me, it's like fireworks or cannons are being set off in my stomache. I hear all kinds of noises.
User :   Last night it was 2 hours straight. More so it acts up in bed when I'm laying on my side.
Doctor :   Do you feel like passing stools immediately?
Doctor :   Do you have any problems passing stools?
User :   Bowel movements: normal but at times loose and runny when I wipe.Somedays constipated but not many. Anxiety brings on stomache issues. Am not working right now due to these problems. Cannot go anywhere where I have to sit and be quite as my bowels and tummy are constants making audible noises.
User :   No, do not feel like passing stools with the gas.
Doctor :   Since when have these symptoms worsened?
Doctor :   May I know your age and gender?
User :   Stools are normal color. Had parasite test come back negative,. No blood. Can see at times mucus in stools.
Doctor :   Do you have any other medical problems such as diabetes/hypertension/thyroid problems?
User :   The last 2 -3 months they have been worst. I can take a Gas X to settle it down but it's not always 100%.
User :   female- 44- still have my period as well
User :   I have anxiety but none of those other things.
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Do you also experience pain or is it just the bloating sensation?
User :   Lately even fruits are bothering me: bananas, strawberries, apples-which I have learnt to go no peels, msg, potato chips,
User :   no pain
Doctor :   Ok.
Doctor :   Let me explain it to you.
User :   bloating not always but at times- maybe 1-2 times a week where it feels like I am 6 months pregnant
Doctor :   Your present symptoms are probably related to indigestion with or without gastritis.
User :   my doctor, under my suggestion, is sending me for an ultra sound for pancreas and abdomen.. then barium swallow. I personally think it could be some sort of digesting thing?
User :   I don't burp
User :   what is gastritis?
Doctor :   They could have occurred due to the old IBS problem or alternatively as a separate entity.
Doctor :   Gastritis is inflammation of the stomach.
User :   what test can be done to see if there is an inflammation of the stomache?
Doctor :   * Gastrititis and indigestion can be part of the IBS.
User :   So you don't think it's an intolerance to lactose, sugar, wheat or any of those things? Becuase why? Becuase I can't eat so much without a reaction?

Doctor :   Since you been having IBS since a long time, all the precautions that you used to earlier, that would include
Doctor :   Regular meals preferrably small and frequent and small meals than single large meals.
User :   that's what I do eat
Doctor :   2. Avoiding hot and spicy food.
User :   don't eat those

Doctor :   The test are to understand if these symptoms have occurred as a a separate entity.
Doctor :   The tests would include study of pancreatic enzymes,
Doctor :   endoscopy,
Doctor :   ultrasound test if required.
