Androgens are the harmones in the body

Doctor :
1. The main treatment lies in keeping the skin clean and
Doctor :
it should not be too oily or too dry also.
User :   i take bath couple of times as i usually gym in evening ..
Doctor :
A proper balance is needed.
Doctor :
You can wash the affected area less frequently when compared to other part of the body.
Doctor :
This will help.
User :   ok
Doctor :   If you can do this, this will help in preventing it from increasing.
Doctor :
2. Do not try handling the pimples with bare fingers and hands.
Doctor :
3. You can use mild moisturisers.
User :   like?
Doctor :   You can go for XXXXXXXX skin clinic moisturisers.
Doctor :
with day moisturiser cream with spf15.
Doctor :
They are good.
User :   is it available at chemist shops?
Doctor :   You can try in the chemist if they are not available try another alternative,
Doctor :
it comes in the brand of nutregena
Doctor :
They are also equally effective.
Doctor :
You can get the second one easily at any good pharmacy.
User :   can you please suggest options which can be available at chemist?
User :   you mean nutregena?
Doctor :   Yes, that is what i meant, they will be available.
User :   ok
Doctor :
4. Prevent infection
Doctor :
You can do this by not handling the pimples with bare hands.
User :   one question about moisturizers .. i should use them on back too?
User :   or only on face
Doctor :
Use it over the affected regions of the face and limbs.
Doctor :
Generally the back do not contain more of oily glands.
User :   ok
Doctor :   Lastly try relaxing exercises.
Doctor :
This will help in prevention of recurrence.
User :   what kind of relaxing exercises?
User :   what should i do about dandruff and back acne?
Doctor :   relaxing exercises are as follows.
Doctor :   When you are free, sit down, take a deep breathe and hold the breathe
Doctor :
count to three and the exhale.
Doctor :   Repeat this for 15 to 20 minutes.
Doctor :
This is the most simplest of the exercises.
User :   ok
Doctor :
They help in increasing the blood to the brain
User :   ok
Doctor :
and help in relaxing and refreshing your mind of all stresses, tensions and worries.
Doctor :
Apart from these are the various yoga asanas
Doctor :   Which you can try.
Doctor :
Have you followed?
User :   yup
User :   how can i treat the dandruff and back acne?
Doctor :   For dndruff the best treatment that has worked for many are
Doctor :
the nizaral shampoo.
Doctor :
If you can apply this in the correct format
User :   didnt work for me
User :   i have tried many times
Doctor :
they will help in controlling the dandruff.
Doctor :   They medicated shampoo which are helpful in treating the dandruff contain
Doctor :
Ketoconazole 2% that is which is present in nizaral\
User :   but it didnt help me
User :   ever
User :   didnt work on my skin
Doctor :
And selenium shampoo that are present in other anti dandruff shampoo.
Doctor :   They usually take time in controlling the dandruff.
Doctor :
usually 4 to 6 months.
Doctor :
If you have used these correctly and have tried it for more than 6 months
Doctor :
And has resulted in no results
User :   isnt 4-6 months too much to test a shampoo ?
Doctor :
then you need physical examination to see if there is any other infection that is the cause for dandruff.
User :   wont the body be non effective to a single shampoo after using that long
Doctor :
It is not testing the shampoo.
Doctor :
The main cause for the dandruff is infection.
User :   emm
Doctor :   And they are mainly fungal infection.
User :   i have been checked for fungal infection already
User :   its not fungal infection
Doctor :   Yes.
Doctor :   If you have ruled out fungal infection.
Doctor :
then the treatment should not take such a long time.
Doctor :   Have you followed/
User :   not really
User :   i am not sure if i am following it
User :   1. i am not able to understand what can be possible reasons for this
User :   2. what can be possible solutions
User :   i am sorry to say
Doctor :   I shall brief you again.
Doctor :
The dandruff happens because of excessive scalling.
Doctor :
The main cause for this in infection usually fungal.
User :   i think i dont have fungal
Doctor :
But other infection of the scalp can also cause such problems.
User :   what else can be possible problems?
Doctor :   Other bacterial infections are known to cause.
Doctor :
Apart from the infection they are secondary to autoantibody like reactions.
Doctor :
This is one of the rare cause for it.
User :   can you suggest
User :   how should i go about things if the case is of hormonal disorder?
Doctor :   Hypothyroidism can cause scalling of the skin
Doctor :
This is the only harmonal disorder that can cause exessive scalling.
User :   ok
Doctor :
But since there are no other clinical features
Doctor :
this is unlikely.
Doctor :
You can check you TSH levels if you want to rule this out.
User :   what is tsh level?
Doctor :   Have you followed?
Doctor :
TSH is a blood test that is done to check for thyroid disturbances.
User :   i dont think i have any of those symptoms
Doctor :   Yes.

Doctor :
That is why i initially didn,t mention this.
Doctor :
As this posibility is ruled out clinically.
Doctor :   There are no other harmonal disorders that are the cause for excessive dandruff.
User :   so what should i be doing then?
Doctor :   The medical treatment optins available for the treatment for dandrff are
Doctor :   The ketoconazole shampoo.
Doctor :   The application is has to be on the scalp and not on the hair.
User :   but isnt that anti fungal shampoo?
Doctor :   It is effective for dandruff control.
Doctor :
Infact it is used for dandruff control
Doctor :
since the percentage of ketaconazole is 2% and is less for a proper antifungal treatment.
Doctor :   Have you followed?
