User :   today i am having a vma test what shall i expect from the results

vma test is vinyl madellic acid test

User :   the doc who is doing all this is md mcard he told me if these two test return normal results he is going to refer me to a psychiatrist for anixiety and panic disorder is it right to do so?
Doctor :   if all tests are normal then it implies that there is some abnormality in mind which should be ruled thats y he is refering to psychiatrist..he is trying to rule out all possible causes of hypoglycemia....from most common to less common .
User :   which says a lot i feel anxious anyway and i always wait for the hypo episode to begin

User :   can it ? I have led a very stress full life till today and am a candidate for this anxiety do you really think it could be psychological issue

yes it can be...after this test if there is no abnormality..then u go meet psychiatrist
User :   i have already seen one and he says that i do have generalized anxiety disorder

User :   he has already told me that once i finish running around i shall take escitalopram 10 mg once a day and clonazepam .25 once a day

User :   yes i have

User :   the doc told me that i will have to wait for atleast 4 weeks before the effect starts

why dont u go for yoga/meditation??
Doctor :   yes he is right it takes atleast a month for the medication to act
User :   i am a regular badminton player ( Was until june 09) i was very active physically also and now i am afraid that any form of exercise will bring the sugar levels further down even yoga

Doctor :   u can google it find but it is better u join outside near ur that u will have regular follow up and motivation
