User :   I have had HPV for a long time now, years. Me and wife have been together for 4 years, she has been tested for HPV less than 4 months ago and does not have HPV, how is this possible? I still have visible warts on the base of my penis.
Doctor :   Hi
Doctor :
Let me read it
User :   Okay
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Has your wife not used any protection or vaccination?
User :   No
User :   We have had a baby
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
The next factor which can be preventing her is her immune status
User :   To my and her knowledge she has never contracted HPV in the past
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
But a strong local as well as systemic immunity is a good barrier
Doctor :
Also are you carrying the active virus?
User :   I am not sure if I am
User :   I have been told that my immune system could have killed off the virus and that the warts just need to be frozen or laser'd off
Doctor :   True

Doctor :
That is the usual course
Doctor :
and there are no drugs for it
Doctor :
also not required as well
Doctor :
The immune system can clear it
User :   Nope there isnt only topical medications to clear the warts
User :   The wife and I have since split, and my worry is if I have a new relationship
Doctor :
Imiquimod (Aldara), a prescription medication applied as a cream may enhance your immune system's ability to fight HPV
Doctor :   Before that I would like you to confirm if at all you still have the virus
Doctor :
and if +, only then any treatment
User :   Yeah
Doctor :   Is there any thing else I can help you with?

User :   Do you know anything about dermatillomania?
Doctor :   Yes
Doctor :
that is a psychological problem harming the skin
User :   Yeah
User :   Thats what I have read
User :   I didnt know if it was maybe something about the HPV or seperate
Doctor :   It is due to loss of ability to control one's impulses

Doctor :   not related to HPV
Doctor :
This is due to emotions
User :   But I read that its pshycological (mental) disorder and can be caused by being insecure about something
Doctor :   True
User :   having genital warts is probably the insecurity
Doctor :
but that does not mean HPV is the cause
User :   not necessarily no
Doctor :
the mind which is feeling like it is to be blamed
Doctor :
and certain behavioural therapies shall be needed
Doctor :   it is the sensitivity of the mind
Doctor :
if it feels insecure about something else, then as well it is quite possible
Doctor :
so that has to be programmed well
User :   yeah
User :   my eyelid twitches many times a day and has been doing so for weeks
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
That is a physilogical reaction seen in many individuals
User :   you cant notice it doing it when you look at it but you can feel it
Doctor :
and many times it is to just contract the muscle
Doctor :
Yes, that is how it happens
User :   so likely nothing to worry about
User :   very common
Doctor :   Yes, it is not a disease

Doctor :
and more common under stressful situations
Doctor :
Exercise and sleep well
User :   divorce is stressful lol
Doctor :
You should improve in that
Doctor :
I do understand
User :   i have bad sleeping problems
User :   when i sleep i tend to sleep for 16 hours or more not wanting to wake up
Doctor :   Exercise does help you sleep better
Doctor :
and you should regulate it well
User :   this goes on almost every day
Doctor :   7 hours daily is recommended for you
User :   yeah but i just find it so hard to get out of bed because i still feel exhausted even though i sleep so much
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
You shall require Psychiatric help in that case
Doctor :
as so much of sleep is not acceptable either medically or socially
User :   wow i feel severely messed up now LOL
Doctor :
Why whats the reason?
User :   psyciatric help?
Doctor :
It is good to take it
Doctor :
Why should you be uncomfortable with it?
User :   is that like seeing a therapist or something?
Doctor :
A Psychiatrist, medical doctor specialized in Mental Health
Doctor :   If required you shall be referred to a therapist later
User :   ah ok
User :   so i was thinking about dating this girl who has bi polar disorder
User :   is this a bad idea ?
Doctor :   Not a problem

Doctor :
Both can share each other feelings and benefit mutually
Doctor :
But if you are planning for a baby, then you should think about further
User :   is it gene related then
User :   the baby could be bipolar?
Doctor :
That has to be investigated
Doctor :
and for that you shall need to undergo Genetic screening, both of you I mean
Doctor :
and take the expert opinion
User :   yeah
User :   well this chat with a doctor thing is proving to be worth every penny
Doctor :   Thank you

User :   how much time i got left
Doctor :
9 more minutes I guess
User :   when i wake up i always have a lot of mucus buildup in my throat and nose
User :   this has been going on for years
Doctor :
Ok
User :   it seems only when i sleep though
Doctor :
Do you have cough?
User :   nah
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
Mucus, is of 2 possibilities
Doctor :
infective or allergic
User :   never had any allergies
Doctor :
So needs to be figured out what is the likely case in you
Doctor :
Do you snore while sleeping?
User :   ive been told i do yes
Doctor :
Ok
Doctor :
That is again a factor for the secretions not to drain properly
Doctor :
and shall be unnecessary strain
Doctor :
Have you consulted a ENT specialist before?
User :   no
User :   whats ent
Doctor :
Ok
User :   ear nose throat
Doctor :
This does come under Ear, Nose and Throat speciality
User :   okay
Doctor :
And many day care procedures are available to treat the snoring problem as well
User :   yeah?
Doctor :
Yes
User :   like home remedies?
Doctor :
Laser treatment
Doctor :
Home remedies
User :   oh
Doctor :
Avoid sleeping over the back
Doctor :
Sleep sideways rather
User :   i tend to fall asleep on my stomach but always end up on my back when i awake
Doctor :   Ok

Doctor :
You can tune a bit with effort I guess
Doctor :
and also those long hours of sleeping should be avoided
Doctor :
and that shall solve most of the issue
User :   are there any over the counter topical treatments for genital warts?
Doctor :
Podofilox (Condylox) and Trichloroacetic acid
Doctor :
Most of the topical medications are OTCs
Doctor :
I would suggest you to check it out with your pharmacist
User :   okay
User :   well you have proven very beneficial to my health knowledge
User :   i thank you for your time
