User :   Hi I have a huge mass on the inside of my thigh, it's about the size of a canalope, sometimes it gets sore, do you have any ideal what it could be.

Doctor :   Could you let me know your age and sex ?
User :   I'm 47 and female
Doctor :   Do you have any other associated symptoms like pain, fever, lack of appetite, tenderness, ant enlarged lymph nodes ?
User :   Sometimes it's tender but no to the rest of the questions
Doctor :   Ok, Any signs of local inflammation like redness, warmth ?
User :   I've had it for about 12 months, it started out small but grew, when it was little my Dr said it could b a water pocket but I have never showed her again

Doctor :   Could you give me the rough measurements of the mass ?
User :   I am overweight too if thatvhelps
Doctor :   Is the skin above the mass pinchable ?
User :   Well I'm not really sure but I'd say about the size of a small watermelon

Doctor :   Is the mass inside Hard, Soft , Fluid like , Air like in Consisitency ?
User :   The mass is hard and the skin is very dry and flaky

Doctor :   It would be better if you can follow the following instructions : User :   Ok
User :   Sometimes when I take my water pills the size goes down but it always comes back
Doctor :   As it could be anything from A Huge Abcess to A Lipoma, But I would rather still go for an Abcess with Pus which needs a drainage.
Doctor :   1. It would be better if you can get an Ultrasound scan done as the first step.
User :   Ok
Doctor :   2. It would be advisable to get an FNAC or Biopsy as per the recommendations after the Ultrasound scan.
User :   It just looks so nasty kinda imbarassing ya know
Doctor :   3. So please do consult a General Surgeon for this problem.
User :   I will it's starting to worry me, I just wanted to see what you guys thought
Doctor :   Yes I can understand and a Surgical resection can be easily done and at the max. take an hour and to heal another 3-4 days.
Doctor :   Please do not panic , but see a Surgeon as soon as possible.
User :   Oh it scares me
Doctor :   I feel it is just an abcess and can be easily solved.
User :   I hope you are right, I didn't know abcesses got that big
Doctor :   Sometimes might be it can be drained even with a n injection if it is superficial.
Doctor :   Hope you have followed.

Doctor :   Please do not compress it and if the tenderness is too much , please use 1. Advil tab. thrice daily for 3-4 days
