User:An hour ago swallowed fish oil pill
User:Pill stuck in throat
Doctor:Are you able to swallow normal food and fluids?
User:Tried drinking hot wter
User:Tried eating small piece of bread tiny not sure if bread went down some came back up
User:I can definitely feel it
Doctor:Do you mean the bread came back or did small particles of pill from the throat came back?
User:Pill is large gel capsule
Doctor:That was an important piece of information.
Doctor:Have you had similar issues in the past
Doctor:where food or medicine get stuck?
Doctor:Let me brief you now.
Doctor:The outer shell of a capsule is made from substance that dissolve with oral and stomach secretions.
User:I have been diagnosed with autoimmune disease rheumatologist asked me if I had difficulty swallowing but I never have until this morning

Doctor:If at all any particle is stuck I would expect it to get dissolved sooner.
Doctor:but if at all some was stuck, it would induce an inflammatory response
Doctor:that can take upto couple of days to resolve.
Doctor:You may feel this irritation and difficult for couple of days more.
Doctor:I would suggest that you try warm water gargles or even some throat lozenges to ease the discomfort.

User:Should I try to eat normally
Doctor:Prefer to eat a less spicy and soft food.
Doctor:you should be doing the gargles atleast three or four times a day.
Doctor:I am not very sure if the breathing difficulty was from this episode.
User:I can really feel it even when I push on my neck
Doctor:So if you are feeling excessively breathless, perhaps you may get it checked by your doctor.
User:Breathing is fine just hurts
