User:Hi
User:My roomie has got chicken pox
User:How can i avoid chicken pox
Doctor:I, i saw your question come in as well
User:I never had it before , can i go for vaccination if yes then where can I get this vaccination in Hyderabad
User:yeah...i am bit worried now
Doctor:ok, well, you need to avoid contact with your roomie. I would try and stay with someone else for the time being
User:probably thats not possible
User:so is there any vaccination i can go for ?
Doctor:You can go to your primary doctor, they will give you a prescription for the vaccine and after you get it from the pharmacy, they can give it to you
Doctor:Yes, there are multiple brands now, they are all effective, but even if you get the vaccine TODAY, the protection takes several weeks to start
Doctor:so that will not protect you from your roomie right now
User:ok...
Doctor:you need to find a place outside the house to stay for a few days till all of their scabs have dried up
Doctor:That shoudl take 7 to 10 days
User:any other quick medicine
Doctor:Unfortunately not, its a viral infection, antibiotics do not work
Doctor:It is just treated symptomatically until the bodies own immune system deals with the infection
Doctor:Anything else I can help you with?
User:no thank you
User:for your time
Doctor:Always happy to help
Doctor:I do encourage you to get the vaccination, but you still need to find a place to stay
Doctor:Take Care
