User:It got disconnected a little while back
Doctor:Welcome again.
User:I missed u when uwere breifing me
User:can u repeat if u dont mind
User:the connection got disconnected
Doctor:Sure, I shall explain it to you again.
Doctor:Renal stones are managed as per the size and location of stone.
Doctor:In general any stone less than 10mm usually pass off unless there is some problem in the ureter.
User:hmm ok
Doctor:In your case a size of 10mm had 50% chances of passing away.
Doctor:The second fluroscopy done by Dr.revealed the stone most likely has passed out.
Doctor:However renal stones are usually associated with urinary tract infection.
Doctor:An infection can lead to stones and vice versa is also true.
User:hmm ok
Doctor:So though you've passed the stone out, it is probably that there is still some kind of infection going on.
User:hmmm ok
Doctor:A repeat urine test may confirm this.
Doctor:However since you have less severe symptoms and you are not running fever
Doctor:you can try the below measures and see if the symptoms improve.
Doctor:1. Drink plenty of water.
Doctor:2. Syp citralka is a product available over the counter.
Doctor:This syrup has antiseptic properties by acidifying urine.
Doctor:one or two teaspoon of this can be mixed with some fruit juice or glass of plain water
Doctor:and take it twice or thrice a day.
Doctor:If you have some troubling abdominal pain, you may try some analgesics like Tab. Dolo 650mg
Doctor:4. Watch the symptoms for few days.
Doctor:If they worsen repeating the urine test would be needed.
User:the doctor has suggested a pain killer enzoflamm and a antibiotic oflin 200
Doctor:You may take that if you have it with you.
Doctor:Antibiotic oflin can also continue.
User:since i did not have pain ...i had stopped both these from last saturday
Doctor:But if your symptoms do not improve, repeating urine routine with or without culture will be needed.
Doctor:For how many days did you take oflin 200?
User:for 5 days
User:sorry 4 days
User:twice a day
Doctor:Ok not a problem.
Doctor:Drink plenty of water and syp citralka and see if the symptoms improve.
User:and tell me one thing
User:are there any possibilities that the stone is not picked up during fluroscopy ..but its present in the body
User:any chances it moving to a specific place where it cant be picked up in fluroscopy
Doctor:Fluroscopy is good in the diagnosis of renal stone.
Doctor:however the first choice of test for diagnosing renal stone is X-ray KUB.
User:in that it was not picked :-(
User:that was also done
Doctor:May I know if the test was done during the subsequent visit?
User:only fluroscopy was done during my last visit
User:u there
Doctor:Ok not a problem as I mentioned earlier, fluroscope is sensitive to pick up renal stone.
User:thanks ...a lot XXXXXXX
Doctor:But the most sensitive test to rule out renal stone would be a non contrast CT.
User:it was really valuable information u shared with me
User:hmm ok
User:if required I would get that done
Doctor:That will rule out the stones, but if I were to be your physician, I would prefer to first get the urine tests
Doctor:if the symptoms does not improve.
Doctor:I wish you a speedy recovery.
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:thanks a lot Dr
User:no not now
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
User:thank u nice talking to you
Doctor:It was my pleasure.
Doctor:Bye for now.
