User:In continuation with our previous conversation, I have few more queries on conceiving, could you pls clarify

User:1. My last period date was 31Jan, now I want to know what the most effective dates for ovalution
User:or rather when are the best chances to get pregnant
Doctor:the highest chances of getting pregnant is 14 days before the next expected period date
User:ok, do we need to undergo any tests before
Doctor:you can do a ovulation test using the commercially available ovulation kit to predict the date of your ovulation

User:ok.. i read somewhere that folic acid tablets to be taken if someone is planning , how true it is

Doctor:you should start taking folic acid tablets as and when you decide to conceive
Doctor:preferably 3 months prior to conceiving

Doctor:I usually suggest tablet Folvite 5mg to be taken once at night

User:any other care/tests to be done any of us

Doctor:For now, you can get your thyroid level checked along with hemoglobin
