User :   she said 3 or 4 and not heavy just like chunks of blood
Doctor :   Ok. I shall explain the probable reasons for her present symptoms.
User :   ok
Doctor :
From the history you have provided, the cause for her symptoms are definitely hormonal changes.
Doctor :
The cause for these disturbances/changes could be related to the extreme stress.
Doctor :
The other probable cause could be pregnancy/uterine problems such as fibroids or DUB or
Doctor :
systemic illness such as anaemia/hypothyroidism and so on.
Doctor :
Since this has been an isolated event, the evaluation for these could be held.
Doctor :
But if these cycles repeat again and she has irregular cycles,
Doctor :
then she needs tests to see if such conditions are the cause.
Doctor :
For the present problem since the bleeding is not heavy,
Doctor :
I would suggest these measures.
User :   ok
Doctor :
1. Good sleep and a healthy diet.
Doctor :
Diet must contain good source of iron and vitamins.
User :   ok
Doctor :
You may use multivitamins one tablet a day for the next 2 weeks.
User :   do you think it will stop soon
Doctor :
2. Drink plenty of fluid.
User :   any multivitamins
Doctor :
It should stop in a few days.
Doctor :
Vitamins which are contains b complex, vitamin C is essential.
User :   ok
Doctor :
3. If the tiredness is severe, she may need iron capsules too.
Doctor :
Hence it is essential to include iron rich source of food in the diet.
Doctor :
4. If the bleeding becomes severe, in the sense that she has to use more pads or if she passes huge clots of blood, you may have to visit your gynaecologist for evaluation.
Doctor :
5. If these cycles repeat again, then the evaluation for the above mentioned causes are necessary.
Doctor :
6. while lying keep her feet elevated by means of pillows under the feet.
