User :   my son is has 104 fever and bloodshot eyes. achiness. he is drinking water. gave tylenol and ibruprophin staggered. at what point should i take him to er? he was shivering a lot but is not now and is sleeping/breathing normally. can it wait to be seen in am by regular pediatrician or should he be seen? it spiked from controlled to high in a flash. that concerned me as well. he can't get more ibuprofin until 1007 and tylenol until midnight based on dosage.

User :   tylenol at 753pm
Doctor :   may i know the composition of the syrup , i mean the mgs/ml in it ?
User :   ibuprofin at 409pm
User :   ibu 100mg
User :   tylenol 160mg
User :   standard childrens liquid
Doctor :   ok , the dose is sufficient , do not over load, it does take minimum of 2 to 3 hours for the tylenol to work and bring down the fever
Doctor :   just aid the drug with Tepid sponging
Doctor :   over the forehead , abdomen and all folds
User :   i put him in a bath for a half hour around 9 not too cool not hot
User :   is this temp abnormal for age?
User :   at what temp would i be more concerned?
User :   he has had higher fevers like 102-103 but not this high since a baby
Doctor :   childrens under age 10 do present with high temp due to low body surface area to dissipiate heat , hence its not dangerous
