User :   can intense stretching for along period of time make you taller due to bone remodeling. are there any ways to increase adult height up to 2 inches
Doctor :   hi
Doctor :   Dr. XXXXXXXX here.
User :   hey whats
Doctor :   height can be increased upto certain age till the bones can elongate
Doctor :   after the age is over the epiphyseal growth stops
Doctor :   and the bone cannot grow
Doctor :   please provide your age, gender, height, weight.
User :   23 male 5 foot 7 160 pounds
Doctor :   ok. so you have chances of increasing height for next 2 years
Doctor :   the epiphyseal growth plate in males is active upto 25 years
Doctor :   so the stretching and the exercises that promote pull on the epiphyseal growth plates will help.
Doctor :   visit your doctor/healthcare provider and request for physiotherapy prescription
Doctor :   for getting yourself trained on these exercises
Doctor :   and start on them
Doctor :   have you followed what I have said?
User :   have you heard of males gaining height so late after puberty
User :   theres so much stuff on the internet you cant make out whats real or fake
Doctor :   it is possible if right kind of guidance is there
Doctor :   you can increase the height maximum upto 1 inch at this age.
User :   so after 25 you cant do anything i just turned 23 in april
Doctor :   yes, after 25 you will not be able to do anything
Doctor :   you still have chances
Doctor :   if you want to confirm then get your long bones x-ray done to see if the growth plate is active or not and then start with your efforts
Doctor :   meet your doctor/healthcare provider or an orthopedician for this
User :   so 1 inch is the max have you ever heard or seen people gain height in there early twenties
User :   or is this mainly speculation and do you no any resources on the internet for this subject
Doctor :   yes. if it was before 20 years, say you were 17-18 years, the expectation would have been more.
Doctor :   let me see if I can give you some link for looking this up on internet. please give me a moment
Doctor :   WWW.WWWW.WW Doctor :   go through this link to know more on epiphyseal growth
User :   how could you know if the age is 25 is it based on x rays of your bones how do you no it isnt 20 years old
Doctor :   it is based on your age and also the x-ray findings
User :   if you pull your muscle by stretching constantly for a long period of time could it lead to an increase in height due to the fact your pulling your bone farther apart
Doctor :   it depends where the pull is acting upon. it shoul dbe near th egrowth plate
Doctor :   to be able to stimulate its growth and elongation
User :   would the bone get stronger by deposition of more calcium have you heard this ever being possible
User :   where is the growth plate on your bone located
Doctor :   yes, up to certain extent, calcium deposits strengthen the bones, but excess causes them to be brittle and leads to fractures.
Doctor :   it is usually located at the end of long bones
Doctor :   for example in the lower legs, it is at the ankle end
User :   its pretty interesting have you heard of any studies on height increase after puberty has been over and someone has reached early adulthood
Doctor :   there are no active studies conducted on this
Doctor :   so you have to take your chance
Doctor :   by first seeing whether growth plates are still active
Doctor :   and then going ahead with the elongation exercises
