Doctor:How can I help you?
User:hi doc
User:I am having skin allergy from last one month
User:its kind of small red patches all over the body and this happened first time in my life
User:I have visited a doc and having medicine(cetirizine) has decreased but not cured.every alternate day it comes back.what should I do now
Doctor:Has the doctor confirmed this as an allergy?
Doctor:For how many days did you take cetrizine?
Doctor:And did you consult a dermatologist?
User:20 days I have taken twice a day....from last 10 days I am having once a day..
User:Thats the confusion...should I go to any dermatologist or allergy specialist??
Doctor:Let me explain.
Doctor:Red rashes over the body can be caused by eczematous reaction to an allergen.
Doctor:it is a chronic recurring condition.
Doctor:Since the symptoms are localised to the skin alone, a dermatologist will be the better expert to treat you.
Doctor:He or she can start you on antiallergen like fexofenadine with or without low dose steroid/mast cell stabilizer.
Doctor:He / she will also suggest you good moisturizer/topical lotions to keep the symptoms under check.
Doctor:I would recommend you to consult a dermatologist and things will be better soon.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:yes doc...moreover I have noticed when gap bw meals increases allergy also increases as well..
Doctor:Allergy symptom per se is not related to time duration between meals; but yse
Doctor:something in the food consumed may be causing it.
Doctor:While you plan to XXXXXXX the dermatologist, i would suggest you to make a dairy of things which happens each and every day - like the food you eat, cosmetic you use, the places you visit
Doctor:before the symptoms occur.
Doctor:Perhaps if you find a common relation between the symptoms and the diet/lifestyle
Doctor:those can be the allergens.
Doctor:The dermatologist can take over from there.
Doctor:Have you followed?
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:yes...But when it started I almost stopped all kind of food from which allergy can occure..but then also it did not stp..
Doctor:Allergic symptoms can occur any time of life to any substance.
Doctor:We cannot rule out if you've developed allergies to new substances besides old allergens.
Doctor:Further, symptoms can take time to resolve (a week or 2 sometimes) and flaring occurs when fresh allergen come in contact.
Doctor:Things will be much clearer after the consult with dermatologist.
Doctor:Have you followed?
User:yes doc
Doctor:Do you have any other query?
User:no doc ....thats all
Doctor:Thanks for consulting me.
Doctor:Bye for now.
User:thns for the information....
Doctor:You are welcome.
