How can I help you?
Hi Dr XXXXXXX ..
I would like to speak to a deromatoligist
I am a general physician and I believe I can help you within my expertise.
If you wish to discuss your problem with a dermatologist
thanks, i think i can spk to u also..
Please proceed with your query.
it is fast spreading ..
it started as a small itch and its spreading
Since when are you facing this problem?
Is there any rashes or swelling noted?
Raches..and i have this for past 6 months
after a week it comes back
Are these rashes/itching present close to the eyebrows?
Is it involving only one eyelid or both the eyelids?
ya lil below it..starts from the corner of the eye
one eyelid it is spread completely..
other one just started
Do you have any similar rashes in the body?
yes..under my left armpit also..
Particularly behind the neck, jaws, armpits, scalp?
only in lft
Apart from the rash/itching do you find scaly lesion?
May I know your age and gender?
I apologize for so many enqiries; but
these details are relevant to understand the condition especially when I am unable to visually inspect the lesions?
its fine Doctor..
33 yrs and female
Are there scalling lesions?
its not scaly
sorry..was held up
nothing of above
Thanks for providing the necessary information.
Based on the details provided, I think of 3 possibilities.
The first and the closest possibility is "seborrheic dermatitis".
This is an inflammatory condition related to a mild less harming fungus
which is more commonly involved in the development of dandruff.
The condition is predominantly located in areas where there is lot of sebaceous glands such as nape of neck, behind ears, under the eyebrows, eyelid, face, armpit, pubic region and so on.
ok...what is advised for it ?
Hence it is able to take care of both fungal as well as inflammatory condition.
should i continue it ?
Yes, you may continue that. But as a doctor my first preference would be to identify the cause so that we can take necessary steps to prevent it.
ok...so what do i do ?
Hence you will need a physical examination from a dermatologist. He/she can order microscopic tests to confirm the cause.
Once we find the cause, we can be able to take necessary steps to prevent the recurrence.
I hope you agree with me.
fine.. can u suggest me a good dermatologist near my place...
May I know your location?
