Doctor:Acne is a chronic condition which is affected by various factors.
Doctor:The type of skin, the amount of sebum produced, cosmetics used, body hormone levels, stress, diet consumed, life style practiced so on have enormous influence in the occurrence / flaring of pimples.
Doctor:Since your weight and periods are regular, I am pretty confident that you do not have any hormonal / intrinsic factors causing the pimples.
Doctor:It could be confirmed by test and other investigations done by a dermatologist.
Doctor:In such circumstances, you will need topical therapy to prevent current acne lesions
Doctor:and followed by maintenance treatment.
User:can u suggest me some good dermatologist in bangalore
Doctor:For the current treatment as clindamycin alone hasn't helped much, you may need addition retinoid creams like 0.05% isotretinoin cream to be used.
Doctor:As the pimples reduce you will need daily medications in the form of antibiotic / retioids / adapalene etc for a few months to control and prevent flaring up.
Doctor:In addition stress relievers, diet modification, restricted use of cosmetics, avoiding frequent face wash, and other life style changes should bring the symptoms in control.
Doctor:Since the process needs monitoring, it is good that you decided to consult a dermatologist for a face to face consultation.
Doctor:May I know which part of Bangalore are you from?
