Doctor:Let me explain.
Doctor:Acne or pimple problem is a chronic recurring condition where the treatment consists of life style changes and medical drugs.
Doctor:By life style changes I refer to proper and regular sleep and regular eating, avoiding smoking/alcohol, restriction exposure to chemical, restricting regular washing face and avoiding harsh cosmetics on face.
Doctor:As far as medical drugs are concerned, there are plenty of drugs available.
Doctor:The best and effective one will be determined by the type of acne you have.
Doctor:If there are predominant large pus filled pimple you will need a product containing antibiotic (clindamycin or erythromycin containing) both orally as well as topical cream.
Doctor:If they are regular acne and not many then topical isotretinoin (o.025 or 0.05%) ointments will be helpful.
Doctor:If there are plenty then oral medications may be needed.
Doctor:So I suggest you to start implementing the lifestyle changes and take medical drugs as per your needs.
Doctor:If you have difficulties in identifying the type of acne, you can plan a visit to a dermatologist.
Doctor:He/she will help identify the type and prescribe you a suitable brand.
