Having chest pain due to chronic bronchitis - Online Doctor Chats
need some help
How can I help you?
Good Morning Dr
I am having Chronic bronchitis
Yesterday I underwent medical test
In that Lymphocytec is 15% ( Nor 20-35 ) and Monocytes is 1% ( nor 2 - 8 )
I have having chest pain
Is the test normal
Yesterday My BP was 130/80
WBC IS 8100
Further most often the differential counts improve or decline with time.
Therefore if you do not have any clinical symptoms of infection
*wouldn't be very worried with the lower lymphocyte percentage.
Dr ( Chest Physc) has called me today also
Do you smoke?
Average 1 cgr per day
And 180ml Rum per week
Do you suffer from frequent allergies?
No allergies till now
I am suffering from Chest Pain for last 8 mths
Your chest physician most likely called you today to explain about chronic bronchitis.
As such this is a condition which will need regular follow ups with pulmonologist.
I do not find any association with lower lymphocytes and monocytes with chronic bronchitis.
Shall I go for lung test
Lung function test is a decision taken after clinical examination of chest.
Till now no dr is able to detect the cause of chest pain
I have done all the required test
I would be able to help you, if you can explain the chest pain to me.
Where exactly is this pain?
Its from the deep inside the heart and not on the upper
But Its not regular
May be after 1 week or after stress work
Breathing problem while going up hill
For how long does the pain last?
It last for 1 or 2 days
Is it a constant pain which is present when you sleep?
For last 3 days there is mild shooting pain which has not yet stopped
I am not able to breath properly if I sleep on Flat surface
No vomiting with the pain
I do not notice the pain while sleeping
You mentioned it is a shooting pain. Since you said it starts in the centre may I know if it radiates / shoots to the back or hands?
When the pain starts I also feel the back pain
Is the pain related to food intake?
I have visited the gastroentrologist
And gone through endoscopic test
But the result was normal he gave me only 1 tab which was PAN -D
For how long did you take this medicine?
For last 1 mths and then stopped it as the pain of the chest has not gone
Shall I tell you the present tab details
Let me brief you before I review your medications.
The chest pain that you describe, doesn't clearly fit into any one organic medical problem.
Two close possibilities are - either a reflux esophagitis or a lung related issue.
Drego , Nucarntic Homo -16 , bigbro
Since you have been diagnosed by chronic bronchitis, it may be causing the chest pain.
In all possibilities, this chest pain is not related to low lymphocyte count.
Which type of lung test should I go
I would suggest you to visit pulmonologist on the fixed appointment date.
He/she can examine your lung and order for lung function test
to confirm bronchitis.
Treatment can be determined based on the report.
I hope you find answers to your questions after the pulmonologist visit.
Do you have any questions?
Thanks for consulting me.
Bye for now
