Having PCOD. Is hyper prolactin curable? - Online Doctor Chats
How can I help you?
I need clarification regarding my PCOS
I am 25 ,unmarried and I consulted my Homeo doctor and he has asked to take me t3,t4 ,LH and FSH and Prolactin test as well..
if there is going to be hyper prolactin is that something which could not be cured?
I have irreruglar menstrual cycles right now..
Presence of high prolactin level is a sign and not a diagnose.
The cause of high prolactin levels need to be determined to comment on it's treatment.
ok can this be treated with medicines? and get back to normal?
I get hairs on my chin now recently
however we also need to treat the cause of high levels for proper and adequate treatment.
ok will this have impact in gettingpregnant?
But don't worry, there is a chance that this could be treated.
Hmmm ok fine. Thanks Doctor.
I am not sure about the effectiveness of homeopathy treatment, but an endocrinologist can guide you rightly here.
Is that good I take homeo medicine for this one...
i was prescribed with oralcontraceptives in the beginning when i was diagnosied with PCOS
With restricted knowledge about homeopathy, I don't think I should be commenting on homeopathy.
but that did not makemy periods regular
Yes, oral contraceptive pill is widely used in regulating periods due to PCOS
but with high prolactin levels, I can see why your periods did not become normal.
wheni have oral contraceotives
Perhaps treating this high levels should regulate period as well as increased chances of pregnancy.
i have my periods regular when i ave themmonthly but not after i leave the tablets....
The levels of natural estrogen in the body is reduced by prolatin.
hence it is clear that cessation of external supplement through oral contraceptive pill did not clear your problem.
I am very hopeful that treating the high levels should get back your periods to normal.
ok Thank you doctor.. so this treatment will reduce my facial hairs as well right?
I am very hopeful that you should be alright.
The next step is to consult an endocrinologist.
I am not sure about homeopathy treatment though.
Have you followed?
Do you have any other query?
